Strengths
- Trained Jedi: Handpicked from the best of the order each member of the Legion is trained by the Order's Battlemaster and the council members to fight as individuals and as a combined force.
- Force Capabilities: As a group of Jedi that has spent their lives in dedication to the force, this ability gives them an edge on the battlefield against conventional forces.
- Limited Numbers: The small number of members within the Legion presses issues of having to spread numbers extremely thin in order to operate across all Republic fronts.
- Jedi Code: Abiding the Jedi code means that fighting is limited within their own philosophical rules.
- Limited Range: With most members of the Legion being equipped with the lightsaber as their weapon of choice they are not a ranged unit and therefore suffer that consequence.
Description:
[SIZE=11pt]Overseen by the Jedi council (Grandmaster until the proper counsel is appointed), the Legion of Guardians is a group of dedicated Knights and masters forming in sizes of up to 100 at any one time in order to form a military arm of the Jedi order. Within this detachment, each member will be entrusted to uphold the way of the Jedi to its utmost principle. The aim of the group is to enable a line of defence and ultimately a tool for the removal of any sith threat within the area that is deemed threatened by the Republic. The Legion is answerable to both the Democratic Senate and to the Jedi’s higher-ups. Internal leadership is under the command of the appointed Battlemaster of the Jedi Order and their council of masters.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]The focus of the Legion is to produce the finest and most dedicated warrior’s within the Jedi order and teach them to fight using their abilities within groups of up to Legion size. The creation and training of the Legion will fall to the first appointed Battlemaster of the order and will, therefore, require all members involved to engage in training and drill. Overall responsibility for operations will fall to the Battlemaster and their council. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]Legionnaires will be picked by their ability from volunteers. The best and most bright will be drilled through a process of trials and tests until deemed worthy of a place within the Legion. Upon acceptance, the Guardian must undergo further training into the art of combined arms and military based strategies when fighting a Jedi. Further training will also take place to bring the individual up to all levels of knowledge as would be claimed by any other member of a republic special forces branch including asymmetric warfare, language training, camouflage and concealment as well as working on Jedi fighting tactics both small scale and in larger groups.[/SIZE]
