BIOGRAPHY:
Born on Klasse Ephemora, the Omelan family had risen to primacy among the families after the outbreak of the plague left most of the ruling families in ruin. This allowed him to easily rise through the ranks of the chiss flotilla when he came of age, both his natural finesse for leadership and his family ties pushing him ever higher. Eventually, when the Chiss Ascendancy formed once again, he was placed in charge of the Ascendancy Navy.
He did not think much of the alliance with the Atrisian Empire at first, but eventually saw the wisdom in allying with them and their much stronger economy and military. When then Vice Admiral Akio Kahoshi declared himself Emperor and expanded the influence of the Atrisian Empire, the chiss ruling families chose to become a member state of the Empire. They chose the Omelan family as their representatives, and Emperor Kahoshi named Nedo Jun (Lord) of all chiss space. This allowed the chiss to retain their own identity, while still serving the Atrisian Empire and benefiting from their greater resources.
