Name: Lenix Kimto Orsil

Age: 20

Species: Squib (Skor II)

Job: Salvager, Courier and occasional Smuggler

Biography: Born on Skor II,

Lenix was, for the most part, a typical squib fuzzling~ playing with scrap and tech he found everywhere and learning welding, computing and how to re-use salvaged junk. When he was 5 a Republic transport was forced to make an emergency landing near his village, to which his family helped in the rescue effort before the ship's reactor blew. Grateful for his help, one of the Republic officers gave Lenix his cap, which he still wears to this day!

When he was 14 he joined a salvage crew and helped collect salvage from scrap fields and from capital ship waste jettisons. This brought him closer to the interior planets and to Tatooine, where he rescued R5-S4 from a Jawa tribe.

By the time he was 18 he decided to break off into a private business~ receiving a loan from a member of the Squib Merchandising Consortium to rebuild a ship he came across as a trans-galactic freighter. By the time he was 19 he had his ship up and running and was content running cargo and collecting salvage across the galaxy.

By now he's been through a few ships, and makes a decent living running salvage jobs and smuggling runs for minor gangs or organisations.

R5-S4:
Built as part of the infamous low-cost Industrial Automaton R5 series astromech droid line, he was resold from owner to owner so much he barely stayed for a week~ having an often faulty power matrix and breaking down repeatedly~ despite his disposition wanting to help and do his best. When discovered by Lenix he was soon to be broken up for scrap by a tribe of Jawas. Lenix shooed them away with a few blasts of his pistols and hauled the droid back to the salvage ship. He took parts from other astromechs to fix R5's shortcomings and even upgraded his basic build with extra tools, such as rocket boosters, a stun baton slotted into his tools array and an improved communications array. Now having been partnered with Lenix, the two are like brothers~ R5 having saved Lenix from a fair few mishaps himself. Sometimes bickering and arguing but never seperable.

Ship: The Thunderflash

24edszq.png

Type: Customised GR-75 Medium Freighter

Length: 90 Meters

Custom Features: Front cargo space removed to form large storage space for salvage equipment, Custom Class 0.9 hyper drive and custom sub-light engines (highly unreliable), certain systems automated by droid brains

Strengths:
  • Faster than most stock ships in its class
  • Large cargo space, and custom hangar allows for hefty load space
  • Modestly armed for it's class
Weaknesses:
  • Cumbersome at maneuvering
  • Automated crew can make certain actions sluggish compared to human control
  • Hyperdrive and custom sublight engines high maintenance
Bio:
The ship was Lenix's second after the CR90 Corvette The Interceptor and was purchased for it's superior cargo and salvage capabilities. The Squib had to put a lot of work into making her systems up to scratch but once the custom sub-light drives and Class 0.9 hyperdrive were fitted, the once sluggish freighter now could break the sound barrier! Leading to her name the Thunderflash. Fitted with a custom hangar to accomodate speeders and his salvaging equipment, the ship is the first step into the big leagues!
