LERO SEVOT

On Lasan, the scars of the Old Empire’s cruelty towards the Lasats is still bare today. Many Lasats recall how Imperial forces came and decimated the population with vaporizing disruptors. It was once thought that the scant survivors of Lasan were the only remnants of their people. Yet, through the will of the Force, it was discovered that more Lasats thrived on Lira San, a world once thought to be legend. Over the passing centuries after the death of Darth Sidious, many Lasats returned and recolonized Lasan once again. It is from this stock that Lero Sevot was born.
The Sevot clan of Lasan was a moderately wealthy family, tied closely to a small mercantile business for shipping goods to and from Lasan. Growing up, Lero was born weaker and more sickly than the others in his litter. He would often be stuck at home, with only a collection of holo-books to pass the time. The young Lasat was enamored by stories of old heroes. Garazeb Orrelios, whom many called Reclaimer of Lira San. General Leia Organa and her quest towards toppling the Empire in order to restore an equal society.
Eventually, Lero overcame his childhood maladies. He became far stronger and more athletic than what he had been as a small child. In his early adolescence, he became enamored with outdoorsmanship. To this end, his parents enrolled him at the Galactic Outdoor Survival School on Thrantin. There, young Lero was given an education in the art of outdoorsmanship and survival in the wilderness. While he eventually graduated from the school, it would instill a love of Thrantin and the Ollonir Boundaries for the rest of his life.
During his adolescence, his family moved to Coruscant in order to expand their business. When the city-world was established as the capital of the newly reinstated Galactic Alliance, Lero felt a sense of belonging and service to the new government that accepted his people. When he became of age, he signed up for service in the Alliance Defense Force. Although tough, he eventually landed as a part of a scout team.
Throughout the years in his service, Lero was a dutiful soldier to the Alliance. That was, until the Alliance invasion of Ziost. He was severely wounded after being shot in the leg by hostile forces. Deemed unable to continue service, he was honorably discharged.
Since then, Lero returned to the Ollinir Boundaries. There, he used his wit and acumen to begin a career in politics. This grew and grew until, eventually, he was hired in the latest senatorial elections to represent the Ollinir worlds. He ran a platform aligned with the Concordists, playing off his personal experiences both as a merchant’s son and a soldier.

Strengths
- Speak Softly: As a politician, Lero is very firm but even in his public speaking. He rarely raises his voice in anger. He believes in solving things with peaceful diplomacy and compromise before violence be involved.
- Carry A Big Stick: Yet, Lero is veteran of the Alliance Army, he knows there's a time to defend oneself. Additionally, he retains his knowledge of combat should the need arise that he needs to fend off attackers. He's also an excellent shot.
- Concordist: because he has joined the Concordist Party, Lero finds himself at odds with opposing view points. Namely, he is staunchly against the policies of the Corporatist Party, as he is against monopolies and megacorps muscling in on the economy. He is also opposed to the Imperialists because of their militarism and touting of Old Imperial values.
- War Injury: Having been shot in the leg during his service to the Defense Force, Senator Sevot has a noticable gimp in his stride. He is too proud to consider cyber-surgery, and his keeps it as a reminder of war's toll on those who fight them.
