Karrus did as he was instructed, quietly lowering himself into the stone slab before [member="Maya Whitelight"]'s own. Not entirely certain what to expect from a Jedi Master, he'd come into the meeting rather uncertain as even the Jedi Knights that he'd passed had rarely stopped in their duties to acknowledge him. By no means a wrong-doing on their part however, unbeknownst to Karrus, he could be quite reluctant in his approach towards others.
That Master Whitelight spoke of hearing good feedback from Master Jeralyr was even more surprising though it stirred a hint of pride within himself, smiling a little in partial embarrassment and glancing off to his left wondering what exactly they'd spoken about in his regard. "Thank you, Master..." He murmured in sincere gratitude, not quite knowing what else to say and listening further to the Jedi who sat in front of him. Unsurprisingly, there was a feeling of tension about Karrus as his mind raced over a few of the first questions that came to him as he watched the other with great intrigue. Such things like her training and skill, her place in the Jedi Order and what she expected from himself, especially.
"I have attended one or two lessons, Master..." He replied softly, his gaze shifting to the stone at his feet, legs crossed and leaning forward with his weight pulling on his calves; "I don't always know when they're going to happen but sometimes I jus'...-Sorta walk and watch the others train. I don't really know where I should be but...-I'm trying!" He forced a slim smile through his anxiety in the hope that what he was doing might satisfy and meat whatever standards he was expected to.
His attention soon turned to their immediate environment as she asked him what it was that he saw. It was a little curious as far as questions went as the answer seemed obvious to him, "Tree's...-Plants and stone...-The stream.." He replied a little absently as his eyes sought to see whatever it was that she was asking of him, "Nature, right?" he added with a little more enthusiasm, turning back to glance to Master Whitelight. It was then however, that she asked him to close his eyes; an exercise that he knew from watching the others within the Academy walls yet not understanding the depths of the art, he did as he was asked and soon closed his eyes. He was then told to listen, as if to remain attentive and yet not long after asked what it was that he felt. This was a little confusing to Karrus though he staved off his answer, waiting and wondering if maybe he was doing something wrong. "I hear the water running passed us...-And the wind through the tree's, Master." His words came slow, caution in his tone as he suspected he was likely to get this exercise wrong.
