Let's Adventure! [SARI]

Shadow sat in the pilots chair of his small one man fighter. It was a older model, but it served him well in the last few years. He was viewing a small screen that displayed the galactic map, along with the various faction territories. In the heart of blue, which represented the Republic, was Coruscant.

He stared at the screen for a moment. Speechless. Before him he was seeing flashbacks, memories of his father. He sighed. His father was sinister, and that's why he murdered him. It was also, however, the reason he began his path down the dark side. He hated that about himself. He gave into the dark side and became a spitting image of his father.

He set his coordinates for Coruscant. He was going there to discover what his father was exactly up to. He only knew the bare minimum of the story. He wanted to know all of it. This was what he wanted: to figure out what happened and fixing whatever was broken.

"I set coordinates of Coruscant," Shadow announced, to who it seemed like no one. "Ready to see the Galactic Capital?" Shadow was talking with his new companion, an AI named SARI. She was smart and, because of her connectivity to the holo-net, dangerous.

He found her and made her his companion. His newest mask, one that was like a scarecrow, had a computer HUB, which would allow her to travel with him anyone and interact. And if he didn't have his mask, she would connect with his armor's computer enhancements.

After leaving Tatooine, the two were on their first real adventure together. Shadow only hoped she would put up with his love for action.

SARI materialized in front of Shadow, her small holographic form standing just in the edge of the galaxy map. "I'm exhilarated. My scanners are going crazy from all of the planet-wide activity! All the people, the technology... It's astounding!" She shook her head, smiling, her eyes wide with enthusiasm.

Shadow gave a warm smile and nodded. "I was born here. Although I don't come here often, it still is my home."

Shadow began his descent to the planet. It was, like always, busy beyond all belief. The spaceport was almost full, luckily they arrived just before then. As he landed the ship the normal advisers hailed him, asking his business. He presented his passport and made it clear he was hear to visit family.

As the ship touched down, Shadow put the rest of his armor on, which was easy since it was broken into pieces that were easy to attach to his under armor. He didn't put on his mask though, he wanted to seem like another normal warrior, not a Sith. He took the chip that SARI called home and placed in a small slot that was in the chest piece of the armor. The slot then closed up, appearing as if there was no slot at all.

SARI was now interfaced into his armor. The light on his left shoulder would project her if she wanted to appear before others, and when she talked she could either talk to him only, through a small ear piece he wore, or through the armor to everyone around them. It was perfect. "Ready?" he asked, making sure she was ready to move.

"Interesting. Your architecture is not unlike that of your ship's," SARI said musingly through his ear piece. If she tweaked his armorweave a bit, she could make it more flexible, tougher, or maybe more intricate. "Yes. I'm ready to go."

Shadow nodded. "Well my ship is hardwired into this suit, I can activate it from afar if I need to make a quick get away."

Shadow started moving out of the spaceport and into the crowded streets of Coruscant. It wasn't the way he remembered it the last time he was here. It had been years since he last came here, back during the final days of the Clockwork Rebellion. It was weird seeing the city rebuilt, especially after a battle like that.

He tried to focus on other things. SARI, because of the suits nature and her interface with it, could potentially feel his emotions. He knew she'd still have to learn about everything that happened, even the Clockwork Rebellion, though he didn't like talking about something so close to him.

"You seem very tense, Shadow. Something wrong?" SARI asked. She sensed through the suit that his muscles were contracted more than normal, and that his heartbeat was accelerating.
[member="The Shadow"]

Shadow nodded as they walked down the street. "The holonet can provide most of the details. There was a war not long ago, The Clockwork Rebellion. It was a tough fight."

Shadow hated talking about it. He. not only almost died that day, but he witnessed his home's, almost, destruction.

"The battle sounded horrible. It must've been a hard thing to watch. I'm sorry..." SARI said, her voice comforting. She had never lost a home. She had never had ahome, either. But to lose something that one was connected to so strongly... It was hard to think about.

"Yes, I'll bet it was." A voice rang in and another image(or whatever SARI was appearing as) would show up. "Don't forget, I have a link directly to you through Sari's mainframe. Which means I know where you are... and what you're talking about." A soft smile appeared on her face. "You two make the most adorable couple..." She chuckled, considering the circumstances carefully. This was almost another experiment.

She also had a body to work on.

Shadow sighed as Circe cut into the comm link. "Great..." he mumbled. He kept moving through the crowd, trying to block out the fact that Circe could hear them. "You now, Cass," Shadow put an emphases on her name, "It isn't polite to spy."

"You come home everyday to catch up and whatnot. Besides, I do need your help with the body. Consider it an experiment in technology And biofiber. And luminescent skin."

Yep, luminescent stuff was fun to work with.

If SARI were visible, she would be rolling her eyes. "I understand Cassandra. I'll come back in a little while. Shadow and I are a bit busy at the moment, as you've heard."

"Of course." She sounded happy. "I'll leave you two to it." Shutting her voice end of the comm off, she smiled, then opened a document on her datapad. It had no connection to the outside system - all data was transferred to and from it with datachips. Opening a file, she began to input information.

"Experiment 'Her' is working at full fruition. The new chassis is being worked on and will be completed soon. The results will be... Intriguing."

Shadow finally reached the door to a large apartment building. He clicked the small panel inside the archway and the door slid open. Walking in Shadow looked over at the elevator, then the stairs. "Stairs are safer," he mused. He hated elevators, yet he was a former Sith Lord who faced down some of the greatest Jedi Masters ever.

Still, already jogging up the stairs, he hated elevators. Once they were on the tenth or twelve floor he stopped in he hallway. He starting walking down it, searching for the right apartment number. Finally he found it, '498'. He sighed. "SARI, you are about to meet an ex Republic Admiral who was regarded as one of the best."

He waited a moment hesitating to knock. "Her name is Milu Onyx," Shadow sighed, "And she is my mother."

SARI used the small projector in Shadow's suit to materialize her face in the air before him. She cocked a brow, smiling. "Shouldn't you take me to dinner before I meet the family?" She said teasingly.

Shadow laughed. A genuine laugh. "Congratulations, you are the first person to make me laugh a real laugh," Shadow said with a wide smile. "Look I said when we met I needed your help," Shadow said, turning to a more serious tone.

"I tried to move on from my past, tried to hide from it," he explained, face filled with pain and regret. "My father was an evil man and I thought I killed him. Though evidence seems to say he is alive. My mother will know and I..." Shadow stopped talking. It became hard. He sighed and sat on the floor.

Carefully he leaned against the door, as to not get anyone's attention. He looked down for a moment, trying to calm himself down. Looking back up, he nodded. "I haven't spoken with her since I was revived several years ago... she was disappointed in me, why would she ever love me? But I need to finish this... Everything dark in me is because of him and if I don't do this then I will never find peace."

SARI looked at him, compassion apparent on her face. "Your father didn't make your choices for you, Shadow. This darkness is yours, not his. If you want to find true peace, you need to recognize that. As long as you hunt him, that darkness will only get stronger."

Shadow shook his head. "All that is dark in me started with him," he replied, denying her opinion. He sighed and stood up. He softly knocked on the door. He was ready.

Suddenly the door slid open, revealing a tall and thin women. She had bright blue eyes that sparkled. Her hair was short and well kept, it was bright blonde and had some grey streaks through it. Although she did have some wrinkles, she still kept up her appearance. She was in some Jedi looking robes, though she wasn't a force user like his father.

In her eyes tears began to swell. Shadow gave a small, soft smile. "Hey mom."

Suddenly he was slapped. Right in the face! Before he could say anything, she was wrapped around him. "I've missed you." She turned around, "Please come in!"

Shadow walked in. "SARI, you can holo-project freely in here."

"SARI?"

"My friend," Shadow replied with another smile.

SARI materialized her full form for Shadow's mother. "Hello Mrs. Onyx. My name is SARI," She said, smiling at her.
