Let's Get Down To Business [Dragon School]

Kashyyyk

The problems of the Master became insignificant when it came time to train one's Padawans, and this he knew. Pushing his thoughts aside, it was time for his world to stop being even a bit about him, and it was time for it to be about training this young man to be a Jedi. Some of his Padawans had been traded around to other Masters in order to give a few freshly minted Knights some experience in the field. Admittedly, the lack of Padawan training lately in comparison to before made him feel a little uncomfortable. So he was happy to know another had been assigned to him.

In one of the training rooms of the Silver Rest, Josh would walk around the room, checking the equipment and thinking back on the information he had on the lad. He apparently had some experience, might even have a lightsaber of his own already. He pondered how much he would need to train him... Perhaps it was best he went and had the full course anyway, and just sped up if it was proven necessary.

This place had started to grow on Mutaak. It reminded him of the time he spent on Alpheridies — sent to study in the Luka Sene. Although his fellow Padawans could have been friendlier, he feels this is the road for his focus. The Luka Sene has never taught him the art of battle, the forms are still unfamiliar to him. He joins the Order of the Silver Jedi in order to receive redemption or some manner of contentment.

Equipped with his training lightsaber, he departs to meet with his assigned Master. Roaming the corridors, Mutaak arrives at the training room. He takes a deep breath, him not being used to the humid air. Entering the room, he feels the radiation of Force emitting from the Master Jedi. Walking towards him, he bows.

As his newest student would step in, Josh would turn around, looking him up and down for a moment, appraising him, reaching out with his senses to see what he sensed. Was it a trust issue? Or was he trying to gauge how to train the man? The man was clearly blind. A Miraluka, maybe? He'd trained a few so he knew how to handle this, at least. They were strong in the force though a lack of sight was a weakness. Usually their other senses heightened though.

"Welcome. My name is Josh DragonsFlame. I will be your teacher from now on" Josh would greet calmly as he would straighten up. Even if he couldn't see him do so, it was still proper. "My class will not be easy, I assure you. Nor short. But when it is finished, you will be ready to be a Jedi Knight. Do you have any questions?" He would inquire. "That aside, could you give me an idea of your experience and background? I want to know what you specialize in, and what you do well in and not so well in."

Straightening his back after the bow, he faces the direction of DragonsFlame. He notices the Master scan upon him. He knew this training would be quite difficult, considering his unfortunate speech impediment. DragonsFlame straightens himself — giving out a sense of propriety. While doing so, DragonsFlame introduces himself and explains the difficulty of his class.

Mutaak takes on a face of seriousness, seeing that this is fitting, considering he wants to earn his redemption through true means. Responding to the master's inquiry, he shakes his head, feeling ready to move on and get started. After DragonsFlame asks of any previous experience, Mutaak thinks to himself, "I've been with Luka Sene for a while, I guess he'll just have to find out for himself." Mutaak remains in silence.

The man was blind, and clearly not deaf seeing as he clearly understood him. He said nothing, he didn't tell him what his previous experiences were, he didn't tell him what his skillset was. Instead, there was something to his expression and posture that indicated he was giddily hiding something, expecting him to find out for himself. Josh let out a sigh and shrugged his shoulders in turn. Fine, fine.

"None? I know you had a previous Master, are you telling me that they taught you nothing?" He would ask. "I can start right from the top to teach you how to use the Force in general if that's what you want me to do, but if you have experience with the Force, lightsaber combat, certain powers, any of it... I'd appreciate if I could know so I can work around that" Josh explained, just being honest with the man.
