Lets get Technical.

And where were the spiders
So, I tossed this idea up in chat. Wanna put it on the Forum to make it... sparkly and official.

What I was looking at, was a site I used to moderate. We had a... character and writer development. Basically, what I'm proposing is to create a Development Forum for the TU, kind of like talent development. We help writers become better writers. To help expand posts and writer capabilities, help people learn to duel, to fleet, to PvP, to create and run plots. All that technical bit, all the while expanding characters and using this to help the Techno Union.

Help writers by understanding their characters (mannerisms, fears, aspirations, favorite pizza toppings, how they vote...)and that makes for a more fleshed out post. As I said in chat, these are full, dynamic characters, not just a skin you slap on for a Shooter game.

So, basically, looking for a team to help writers, new and old, become better, learn some new skills (we all know I can't Fleet or Duel worth a damn), and get a base line on how to write non-Mary Sue characters, find real weaknesses, etc

So, the first step here, in my head, is obviously getting together a team to help do this.

In the past what we did was make a list of questions to both the writer and to the character (like an interview) focusing on certain things. If anyone wants to help with this, let me know, if not it'll be a slow move coming.

[member="Haga To"] Glad to have you here writing! Always the best way is to write more (says the geologist)

[member="Orick T'ane"] Do you have any ideas, Broba Fett?

[member="Marek Starchaser"]

for the character I would ask these

What's your characters motivation?
What's your characters inspiration?
What do you see your character becoming?

Writer questions are all about experience I suppose.
