Let's Try This Again Part 2 (Graug Address to the Senate)

(First thread is 'mere)

After brushing past the small fox-man, Kiroa continued his march into the senate building. On either side of him were a total of four Graug guards, each covered from head to toe in Vong Crab Armor and carrying force pikes. They no longer had blasters as the rodent outside had decided to break them all. If it had been Krag here to talk, things would have already turned bad. The rodent had tried to stop them from going in, but Kiroa had been accepted to address the senate and so he was. He would state the reasons for the Graug's contempt and then deliver his ultimatum.

Perhaps it was unwise to state one's aggression like this, but it was tradition in the Holy Clan and it wasn't as if the Republic didn't already distrust the Graug. Even walking down the hall gave Republic soldiers and diplomats alike a pause, they all wanted them dead he could feel it. Well good then, death was much more preferred over the slavery the Graug were being put under now.

A few scared assistance later lead Kiroa to a large platform in the senate chambers. Kiroa was surprised by the feat actually, such a room was fit for a Spirit Child and his loyal priests. Perhaps a room like this should be built on Kador, it was grand enough to be his new throne room. As the Graug stepped onto the platform, the large metal disk slowly rose into the air....

Yusan watched silently as the mass of muscle and flesh stepped out onto the platform and flew like an eagle... wait thats not right... rose like superman? No no, bad memories concerning that metaphor... a tub of lard thrown up into the sky? Much better. His eyes watched the man beast that likely had fewer than two brain cells between him and his entire race. Speaking out he let his voice flow through the senate, opening it and the current session. In his hand he held the staff that belonged to those in the position of Keeper of Order in the Senate, which signified his ability to open and close the senate should things get out of hand. "This session of senate is opened, Representative of the Gratos System, speak as you so prepared and take your time in explaining your reason for being here if you might be so kind." @Spirit Child Kiroa

Cameras and diplomats, Kiroa was told by Krag that such things would be present. The Warlord had once been here with Darth Vorskr during his rule and had taken notice of many details. "Speak with the tongue of the ancients." Krag had said "our battle is to free Gratos and after they came to burn Sabarene, they have left us without means to conduct a war. The galaxy must here divine words and sing a chant of fire, then the Graug will know glory."

Easier said than done. Ultimately, Kiroa was here to ask for the submission of the Republic, but Kiroa would speak the angry words of his people first. There was much more to Graug history than this ignorant lessers knew, but once it was told the true resolve of the Graug people would be known. Ignoring the cameras that sent his message throughout the stars, the Graug began to speak.

[In Graug] "The Cleansing War saw my homeworld scorched by the fires of war and when it subsided, only the Imperialists were allowed to stay on Gratos. My clan was forever banished to the moon of Kador, spared only because of our divine connection to the gods. For over a century we planed a glorious war to retake our lost home from the Imperialists, but their might was far too great for our warriors. WE WERE OPPRESSED!" Kiroa shouted his last in a fit of rage that was overtaking him with the retelling of the Cleansing Wars "We had no women and so we were forced to bow before the Imperialist's every word just so we could breed! But then, the Gods showed us favor and Warlord Krag began to move his Imperialist Clan away from the homeworld! With the Imperials gone we were finally free to rejoice on our homeworld, only one other clan stood in our way of victory and it was to be a battle that finally saw Gratos returned to the hands of my people!"

Kiroa took a short pause, his eyes glaring at Yusan as if he were trying to set the man ablaze with his stare alone "but then the Republic came and they invaded our homeworld. A system that had known glory and had been favored by the gods was stricken from us." the beast's words were cold with rage now, his hatred for the Republic growing with every word he spoke, "you came to destroy Krag, but you only succeeded in defiling our sacred soil. You declared a war on all Graug with your actions and when Krag took his Sith fleets to Coruscant in response, you cried out that the war you started was seeing your own planet burn! Now, Krag is trapped in the voids of space and still you defile Gratos."

Slamming his fits on the edges of the ring, Kiroa looked about the council chambers "The Graug did not ask to be apart of your Republic, you have come and enslaved us! You came to a world, blaming the actions of one clan on all the rest! Then, when I send a priest of my clergy to have words with you all here HE WAS SHOT DOWN! He did not come bearing war colors, he came bearing the colors of the Holy Clan, a clan that hated Krag and his Imperialists until you forced us to cooperate with him! Twice now have you committed acts of war on the Holy Clan and Lost Clan of the Graug people and you expect us not to answer! WE ARE NOT PETS TO BE ENSLAVED AS YOU PLEASE!" raising his arms high in the air, Kiroa spoke loud and clear "The Republic thinks itself unstoppable because weak leaders of planets have bent their knee to this council! I Come here in name of the gods to say that no Graug will never submit to the slavery the Republic has put on, not only Gratos, but dozens of systems throughout the galaxy! I come here to say, free Gratos or prepare for a holy fire that will scorch clean the treachery of the Republic!"

Yusan had waited long enough for the Senate to speak or do anything, which was absolutely amazing as that means that everyone here was either asleep or scared shitless, and that was certainly something worth seeing. Yusan had listened as the words were translated by a droid beside him, his eyes remaining on the Graug the entire time that he had spoken and after a time Yusan leaned forward onto his hand and spoke once he was done and it was evident no one else would.

"Your words are true and right, the Republic's actions are ones that have not shown a care for the lives that are destroyed or changed. And in light of the recent events involving Etti IV many wonder whether or not that the Republic's actions, the actions of both the Military and the Jedi, are done in such a way that is not suitable for either side. Your people have been done wrong, and it seems that no one past me will answer for such things, to which i tell you this. I will personally pressent a bill to the senate in the coming week that will address this very issue, i say this in the face of all those here, the hundreds of thousands of planets and systems. As such i ask you, Spirit Child, to meet with me so that we can talk over such a ideal as to provide Gratos with the respect and peace that it deserves. As you said Krag and his followers are gone, no species should pay for the actions of one Sith." @Spirit Child Kiroa

Alena yawned in boredom as she listened to some Graug representative talk about the ills that had been done against his people and planet. The former Vice Chancellor @[member="Yusan Fenn"] seemed to have automatically changed his position about Etti IV in response to this speech, which Senator Beswin found quite amusing. It was like as if Fenn switched sides on issues whenever he felt like it.

"Ah, I'm quite glad to hear you bring up the issue from Etti IV, Mr. Fenn. From what I heard last time we met, you were quite supportive of justifying Jedi action taken at Etti IV. You've changed your position on this issue, it seems?" she asked politely.

"Dont get me wrong, i support the Jedi wiping out and destroying the Sith presence there, hell i would do it a million times over if i was so able to rewind time so many times. But that is a far different topic than occupying the planet itself for no further reason than to wipe out that one sect of sith. I am sorry that i was unclear in my explanation of the situation. Either way my offer still stands Spirit Child, i can assure you that my support in helping your people recover and stopping the further destruction of your people's home by Republic elements."

Kiroa listened to the two senators speak, he was unsure whether he should be insulted at the lack of a response from the other because they thought him too worthless to speak to or if he should feel pride because his words had stricken fear into their spines. In all honesty, Kiroa was not expecting the Republic to submit because well...Graug only had experience with other Graug and Graug rarely submitted to a challenger. After the two had finished their little back and forth, Kiroa spoke up once again.

[In Graug] "I will meet with you, lesser, but do not expect me to waste my breath on you if you begin to spit lies and tricks in my ears.

The angry-sounding Graug speak was beginning to bother the Kuati woman. Not only that, Alena didn't happen to understand Graug like Fenn. "Can we get a translator in here, please?" she requested. Other senators nodded in agreement, being tired of listening to a Graug speak angrily in Graug language for the last several minutes and wishing to understand what it was saying. Soon, a random translator showed up, who somehow managed to have an ability to translate Graug-speak to Galactic Standard.

"Seconded," replied Jack, raising his hand. "Is that necessary?" he asked @Alena Beswin. "I've seen it done on the holos. Makes me feel like I'm adding something to this discussion.

To @Spirit Child Kiroa, the Pirate Senator shouted slowly in Basic, "WHY ARE YOU YELLING?" and again to Alena, "Why is he yell...it is a he, isn't it? Why is he yelling?"
