‘Liberator’ Space Station
Image Credit: Shaun T Williams of http://www.shauntwilliams.com
Intent: To create a ‘secret’ space station for Archangel as part of their plans of galactic destruction. It also provides them a convenient place to hide away nefarious activities which might draw comment on more populated worlds. The station itself will be armed to resist attack, but have less weaponry and attack craft than expected due to the heavy equipment being used there.

Manufacturer: Constructed by Iron Crown Shipyards, designed and funded by Archangel.
Model: LX-01
Affiliation: Archangel Research and Design
Modularity: None
Production: Unique
Material: Durasteel, transparisteel etc.
Description:
Conceived as a means to hide some of the less savoury activities of Archangel, the ironically named ‘Liberator’ soon became one of the company’s main operating centres. Designed with the assistance of Rave Merrill and Iron Crown Shipyards, the station was constructed using profits earned by Moira and Maelion on their various expeditions. Though the station was expensive, when it was towed into place in the otherwise unknown system of SX-118000, it was already being outfitted by the time it had arrived. The system chosen was a bland and uninhabited system, perfect for clandestine activities.
The planet chosen, the 4th in position from the star, is completely uninhabitable. Its lifeless rocky surface is scoured by harsh winds, and the atmosphere is slowly leaking into space. It possesses no useful minerals or other resources; it is simply a convenient ball of rock to orbit.
From this point on, the majority of the processing done by the company would be done on this station, as would the storage of captives.
As can be guessed, the main purpose of this station is the processing of victims into HRDs.
A key add on to the station is a berth where the Lightbringer can dock in order to unload/load materials, or to affect repairs on the ship.
The station itself is designed not unlike a baseball diamond. Each of the bases being described by a compass cardinal point: North, East, South and West. The connecting arms are therefore referred to as North-East, South-East, South-West and North-West. With typical droid logic and efficiency they have arranged the station so each area fits together.
Each of the 4 hubs contains a mini reactor, shield generator and weapons. Each hub has a defence gun battery with a capital gun at the top and bottom for maximum coverage.
North: Contains the processing machine and its attendant clone vats and other gear.
East: Contains the detention cells, droid stations and consumables.
South: Contains the cargo areas, data network and sensor stations.
West: Contains the communication, security and control systems for the station.
Each of the arms contains a fighter squadron, and South-East leads to the Lightbringer berth.
Along each of the arms is a two car monorail system, allowing cargo and droids to move from one to the other in less than a minute.
Although the station is decently armed and protected, it stands no chance against even an assault frigate and would soon be destroyed as it is unable to move. The station’s main protection is its remoteness and the swarm of fighters it can unleash when needed.
Classification: Space Station
Role: Secret research and hideaway base.
Height: The four ‘hubs’ are 300m from bottom to top. The connecting arms are 30m high.
Width: 400m
Length: 400m
Power Core Generator/Reactor: Hypermatter Reactor
Hyperdrive Rating: N/A
Minimum Crew: 10 HRDs, 300 misc droids
Optimal Crew: 20 HRDs, 500 misc droids
Armaments: (SUPPORT)
Cargo Capacity: 5000 tonnes.
Consumables: 3 years
Sublight Speed and Maneuverability: 10. The station cannot move from its orbit without assistance.
