SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
Tougher - Though low on weaponry, the LICV-1’s trimantium armour plating gives it an extra edge allowing it to take more punishment than normal should it find itself under fire.
Faster - While not the fastest ship on the market, the LICV-1 still boasts a top of the range hyper drive and faster than average sublight engines, giving it an edge over potential pursuers.
Weaknesses:
Lover not a Fighter - The LICV-1 was not designed for direct combat and although equipped to deal with a handful of smaller fighters, it would be easily overwhelmed by larger frigates.
Tight for space - With the additional armour plating, the internal of the ship has been greatly reduced to what it could be, meaning that the cargo and passenger capacity is greatly reduced in comparison to others on the market.
Description:
The LICV-1 was designed as a personal transport, not a combat ship, however with the galaxy in an ever shifting state of war, Lina Industries felt it was necessary to create a transport capable of taking a few hits in order for people to get past or out of any combat zone it might come across. This coupled with its faster sublight engines and hyperdrive make it an ideal ship for quick getaways.
With its heavy trimantium armour plating that would allow the ship to take several hits without being destroyed if the shields were to fail and intelligent sensor array to allow the pilot and crew to better anticipate the movements of attacking ships. Other key features such as the shroud device will also allow evasive action should the ship get caught in a tractor beam and its higher than average speed make it an ideal ship for diplomats.
All the features on the LICV-1 are completely modular allowing for those who purchase it on the open market to upgrade weaponry, defenses, sensor suites shields and more allowing it to be tailored to each individuals needs.
The LICV-1 can be piloted effectively with a minimum crew of 5 though Lina industries recommends around 15 to ensure the ship is used to its most effective capabilities. Its cargo bay is capable of holding around 500 tonnes and consumables on the ship would last up to a year with the ship at its full capacity of 10 passengers.
