Years of conflict and the deep scars hiding beneath her uniform have left Liedran a cynical person. Dreams have become nightmares for her, terrifying memories of days gone past. Though she maintains fine relations with her subordinates, whom Liedran is careful to regard with respect and care, she can nonetheless be extremely stubborn, quick to address insubordination or to otherwise enforce her command decisions.
Biography:
Chandrila was long known for its pacifists, its prospering government that had lived on in spirit even through the Gulag Plague, through the centuries of decay that siphoned away at the galaxy. At first, it seemed Liedran would have joined the glamour, and enjoyed the riches of the planet. The second youngest daughter in a family historically comprised of lawyers and politicians, she was raised in the library, cultivating her knowledge of law and diplomacy.
But the sacred history of her family began to buckle. Whispers of war were uttered across an increasingly uneasy galactic civilization. Reports of the One Sith's incursions into the Bormea system and the adjacent territory of the Galactic Alliance were brought to Chandrila's admirals and generals, to the planet's politicians, to Liedran's own home. Dinners carried with them uneasy conversations, utterances of war despite her father's best efforts to redirect discussion. It was on one rainy day that her youngest brother stood at the dining table, proclaimed his enlistment in the Chandrilan Defense Fleet, and left the Kathause estate. Liedran was helpless but to watch, and wait for the day he returned.
She'd turned 19 the day a grim announcement returned from Defense Command. The Sith had robbed Chandrila of a warship; they had robbed Liedran of a brother.
Her grief had little time to finally shrivel and die before Liedran sent her application to Flight School. Within a month, she shipped off to the academy. And following a long year of tireless training, she was made a full member of the Chandrilan Starfighter Corps, further rising to the rank of Lieutenant by the time she was appointed the commanding officer of Nebula Squadron.
She'd earned her Major's stripes just in time for the One Sith to come knocking on Chandrila's doorstep. As the heart of the Alliance, Coruscant, crumbled, set alight in flame, Chandrila's airspace burned. The numbers of Nebula Squadron dwindled; and by the time of the battle's end, Liedran crashed into the burning flight deck of a fleet carrier, the last pilot in her formation. In moments, the remaining Chandrilan fleet jumped into the night, leaving their planet to the Sith's occupation.
The following Alliance Exodus saw Liedran's reassignment from starfighter duties, on account of the physical and mental scars the battle over Chandrila left. Her duties were instead diverted toward flight coordination, management of the air wing aboard the CDFS Penelope. Years of dignified service granted her a promotion to captain, awarding her a position on the bridge of the frigate CDFS Aurora in time for the Chandrilan Defense Fleet remnants to return to their home planet.
With the battle concluded, Liedran would adopt a more significant role within the emerging the Core Alliance, active in the final liberation of the Core worlds and the task of restoring Chandrila to its previous glory. The advent of the Alliance's union with the Republic, and the following founding of the Galactic Alliance, saw her introduced into the new government's Defense Fleet, awarded the position of commodore and appointed commander of the 3rd Expeditionary Carrier Line. Once again, she would leave the comforts of home, taking the fight back to the Sith and their Empire.
