Description: A two piece conversion kit that will allow a lightsaber to be used as a bayonet for a rifle.

Primary Source: The bayonet is a time honored piece of military kit that will never go out of style. By adding a knife to the end of a rifle, one can effectively transform a ranged weapon into a short spear.

The lightsaber bayonet conversion kit has two pieces. The first is an O-ring that affixes to the lightsaber just below the blade emitter. Its purpose is to slide over the muzzle and around the barrel of the rifle in question, in order provide a measure of stability in combat.

The second piece is a replacement for the pommel of most standard lightsabers. It has the standard thread pattern for most screw on lightsaber pommels, and incorporates a clamp that will lock into a bayonet lug. The clamp is the primary connection point, and provides a great deal of stability. Since clamps vary with the style of bayonet lug, models will be immediately available for the AR-15 and AK-series weapon lines. Custom models may be commissioned.

The lightsaber bayonet will afford the wielder both the advantages of a lightsaber and a rifle, but not the skill to use it correctly in combat. Thus, any potential customers should probably be Force sensitive, and should expect months or years of practice before achieving full mastery of the weapon. Though the conversion kit is available to anyone with the credits, use by NFUs or FUs without taking the time to train is discouraged.
