The Lightsaber of Ulic Qel-Droma was used throughout his time as a Jedi Knight, as a member of the Krath, as a Sith Lord, and as a hermit cut off from the Force. After becoming one with the Force, Ulic's lightsaber was placed within wooden coffin inside a sarcophagus within the Jedi Monument on Rhen Var. During the Sith Empire's conquest of the world and subsequent iconoclasm of Jedi relics, Vanessa Vantai traveled with a group of Sith inside the Jedi Monument, slaughtering rebellious forces. Though her intentions were to find the bones of Ulic Qel-Droma for use in horrific rituals, all that were found were the bones of a random person(likely an attendant), some dust, and the lightsaber. It was first used in anger after over 4500 years to slash the emptied coffin and sarcophagus to pieces, and later was taken by Vanessa to be put on display in an energy-shielded case within the Trayus Laboratory, a unique historical artifact.
The blade in question is of no significant difference when compared to any Jedi lightsaber, particularly those of the Mandalorian War era. It has prongs mounted around the emitter, hypothesized to help catch or deflect the vibroswords that were common at the time. The lightsaber notably lacks a bifurcating cyclical ignition pulse due to its age, and as such will short out, requiring repair, should it ever be submerged in water for a few minutes.
