There was no question the Galactic Alliance was at war. Judah had warned the New Jedi Order the New Imperial Order would betray them, and he hated more than ever to be right. That no longer mattered. Those who had refused to listen to him no longer served the New Jedi Order in any capacity. New leadership in the form of a close ally Valery Noble had risen to power, and Judah would do everything he could to ensure her tenure was a success.
Today that meant teaching basic combat. A smirk tugged at his lips as he thought it ironic that he of all people was teaching again, and in the Jedi Temple at that. Just over a year ago Judah was still living in his ship chasing dark side artifacts in his own quest to weaken the Brotherhood of the Maw in his own way. That had been how he met the Sword of the Jedi.
Judah sat on a wooden stool in one of the larger training rooms. His pipe was hanging from his mouth, a nasty habit he still indulged in simply to hear the voice of his late wife telling him to take it outside. Students would come to find the man behaving as if he did not belong there, in fact his hope was that they would not realize he was the instructor. There was an ulterior motive to Judah’s class.
Shadows.
Once a thriving group within the Jedi Order, their numbers seemed to be consumed by the endless need for guardians to fight in the seemingly endless wars. Judah was determined to find more shadows, more investigators, and go about doing for the New Jedi Order what he did best. Together they would root out potential dangers and threats, eliminating them before they could come to fruition.
Perhaps it was his recent meeting with Cambria Zadira , but the older Master was feeling much more like his younger self. Whether that was a good thing or not was a matter of perspective. To Judah it was definitely a step in the right direction. For years he had performed the katas his master passed on to him without letting the meaning of them penetrate anything beyond his mind.
Life was in a cycle.
It ebbed and flowed with every passing movement.
It moved on.
It was time for Judah to do the same. He was determined to do so the best way he knew how.
