- LIKON durability: LIKON values toughness and durability, reflected in redundant systems, additional bracing, fusion welded plating, and magna bolted seals. LIKON products are typically known to be able to take hits and keep on functioning.
- LIKON universality: LIKON specifically designs its systems with a minimum of moving parts, and with as much universal access as possible to allow for a seamless and pain-free maintenance cycle. It is exceptionally easy to repair and maintain this item.
- Space saver: this droid can collapse itself up to half its regular size when in storage mode; this makes for easier transportation and deployment.
- (+) Broad utilization: this droid utilizes a moderately complex neural chipset that uses adapter and learning chips, in conjunction with quick-load memory banks, to be quickly programmed for a broad variety of uses and purposes. As such, this droid can be utilized across a broad range of specializations including:
- General labor droid
- Service droid
- Communications droid
- Traffic control droid
- Administration droid
- Manifest droid
- (-) Master of none: the L4-BR can be programmed for a broad range of uses, but doesn't truly excel at any single function like a specialized droid would. For example, a L4-BR programmed for communications is perfectly capable of handling a massive amount of channels and comm traffic, but would be relatively useless at anything beyond light encryption/decryption functions.
The L4-BR general utility droid is LIKON's take on the L-1g general purpose droid. Conceptualized as an all around placeholder worker that can be rapidly programmed for a variety of functions, the L4-BR is deployed wherever organic personnel would be deemed a waste, and where general automation is acceptable.
To facilitate this, the L4-BR utilizes a neural chipset that integrates custom adaptive chipsets and learning chipsets that can rapidly accommodate new information from quick-load memory banks. This allows a L4-BR unit to rapidly set into a new role with a minimum need for debugging and heuristic learning; the downside is that it is largely constrained by the information programmed into it, and cannot really develop into a true specialist.
Coming stock with market standard photoreceptors, audio pickups, and vobcabulator housed in a LIKON standard duralloy shell, the L4-BR is ruggedly designed to be at home as an outdoor menial worker or an indoor administrator, and, like many LIKON products, needs a minimum of maintenance and care.
