- Structure Name: Lilaste Order Agricultural Center- Kirima
- Classification: Farm / Greenhouse
- Location: Kirima, Jael City
- Affiliation: Lilaste Order
- Accessibility: Easy to see and approach on the outskirts of Jael City.
- Description: Large, vertical buildings designed to maximize what the environment has to offer. The interior is neat rows of floor to ceiling produce and crops.
Growing Racks : The bread and butter of the operation. Massive growing racks stacked floor to ceiling contain rows and rows of crops. Artificial sunlight, heating elements, and beneficial insects all play a role in maximum crop growth. On a hydroponic system, there is no soil, nutrients fed into the recycling water supply. The racks are designed to be worked by sentients due to the Order wanting to employ their citizens through trade.
Aquaculture : A foray into providing not only fish products for the Lilaste Order, the aquaculture center in the greenhouse also plays a crucial role in providing fertilizer for the growing rack system. Waste from the fish and crustaceans is fed into the hydroponic system, allowing for reduced resources to be used in growing the crops for the order.
Geothermal Energy : Dedicated GT-42 Geothermal units power the greenhouse and all its components ; aquaculture, security, lighting, heating, every piece of energy comes from a dedicated bank of these units. Although a higher than average start-up cost, the beauty of the GT-42 units is the generation of its own power, not having to rely on a grid or corporation.
SECURITY
Medium. According to the Lilaste Order, every citizen is trained and ready as a soldier. This already adds a certain level of security. In addition to pure sentient muscle, all exits and entrances are locked by biometric measures. Security cameras, perimeter alarms, facial recognition all go into play in ensuring outside forces do not enter. Perhaps overkill for a glorified greenhouse, but critical if malevolent forces tried to poison the major food supply for its citizens.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Due to increasing unrest in the galaxy, the Lilaste Order turned to Aina Holdings to help solve their agriculture issues. The planet of Kirima is cold, too cold to grow a variety of crops beyond a small handful. Add in the rocky soil and rough terrain, then a problem abounds when trying to farm. Thoughts immediately went to a self-sufficient greenhouse, aquaculture, and geothermal energy system.
Naturally a more military protected planet by the order, construction began in order to ensure the citizens of the order would have a source of crops during the unrest currently spreading through the galaxy. In time, there are plans to expand the agricultural foothold of the greenhouse, to the point where the Lilaste Order will be able to sell excess crops to help fund their government.
