Intent: Pilot input alternative to astromechs and other AI
Development Thread: If necessary
Manufacturer: Limited Armaments (http://starwarsrp.net/topic/53673-limited-armaments/)
Model: ATVS
Affiliation: Open market
Modularity: No
Production: Limited
Material: Electronic components in an agrinium helmet

Strengths: Provides a plethora of information directly to the pilot

Allows the pilot to control or check almost every component on an integrated ship manually through voice commands

Parses data to provide important information to the pilot when needed

Takes up next to no space compared to an astromech droid and causes very little power drain

Weaknesses: Contains no AI so the pilot has to perform all tasks manually through voice commands.

Requires the pilot to find many pieces of data that an astromech could find for them

Description: The ATVS is designed to provide pilots with the ability to micromanage their starship. Offering a plethora of available data and providing the most vital information to the pilot automagically, the ATVS allows for a greater degree of control through a user friendly interface. The primary features of this system fall under three designations: Combat, patrol/scout, and travel. Combat mode provides all available data on enemy targets, warns the pilot of dangerous circumstances, and calculates trajectories on the fly. Also, in combat it provides predictive targeting (Showing approximately where weapons should be aimed to hit a target if it maintains trajectory and speed) and precise targeting at close range. Patrol mode (alternatively scout mode) warns of abnormalities in the general vicinity of the pilot and gathers data preemptively for a quick transition into combat mode. This includes identifying friend and foe targets through standard means and assessing whether the friend or foe tag has been compromised, checking space for irregularities that could be signs of hostiles, and scans friendly formations and individual ships for possible intercept routes and formation breaks (most useful when a friendly formation has defected and you need to quickly evaluate hostile intent). Travel mode presents destinations within jump range of the ship along with available information on those locations (this is the least safe mode and should only be utilized in heavily policed space or when the pilot intends to make the jump to hyperspace).
