We do not have a list of force powers for use. Nor do we enforce what each rank can use.

You can search wookieepedia for information on force abilities if you want, or use it as reasonably fit.

Wookiepedia does have a specified list of force powers and the various categories. Though it also makes it very clear. The listed force powers are just examples of what the force can do. As ultimately the only true limitations to the force, is what the individual as a mortal is capable of comprehending and controlling.

You got scolded for using emerald lightning? I get that it was an uncommon technique amoungst lightsider's and was highly frowned upon due to the emotions it utilized. Some even cast it aside as a legend.

Though none the less. Ya shouldn't of been scolded. In my personal opinion.

[member="Helios Venth"] alot of people scold us for using powers or veriatiosn cause it's "above our rank." Or something they jsut don't feel we should be able to use. For instance I tried to use a basic sort of force push in a wide arc or circle. Apparantly it's a knight level power to do but again no main list recounted to me just angery sith player. others demand exaughtive lists of our abilities and it begins to make thosel iek me feel liek then fine if thats how it goes we want a full listing of everything else. It gets toxic.

I remember the list you think of, but it wasn't a site thing. It wss a thing the Galactic Republic had when they were still a thing. Not sure that list is around anymore. You could try looking through the archives, but I make no promises that it is still there.

So, another words people are blinded by their personal limitations on what they feel should and should not be. Then feel it necessary to subject their views upon every given situation, or am I misinterpreting the summary of your message?

[member="Helios Venth"] More I suspect people developed veiws on where things stood and what each rank meant in terms of ability. My issue is each characters differant. My padawan has gone thorugh masters liek tissue paper but has spent most of the rest of the time battle armies, and force users above her weight and lived. So I think she's learned to become better in soem resepcts to some other padawans. Now theres things she won't be as good at as other padawans too. Just combat isint one of them nor combative use of the force.

I suppose I see the reason within your deduction. Thank you for working with me, to help better my understanding towards how someone may be scolded for using certain techniques. Though I also fully support your belief of not every character is the same, and their personal experiences should help shape what they can and cannot do.
