SPECIAL FEATURES
Generates a holographic interface to allow control of armour or to provide instructions and data to be received and send via a commlink interface.
Strengths:
Easy access to control systems and data
More advanced and detailed controls than your standard UI
More versatile than your standard datapad
Weaknesses:
Designed as a component for armour and suits the LK Robin is unable to function without that power source.
Limited internal computational power: The Robin is just an interface, not a computer in its own right and needs to be linked to a computer, either in the armour or aboard a ship (via commlink) to function.
Gives away your position, as a hologram, the interface has the unfortunate side effect of lighting up an area. While useful when trying to light your way in the dark it is decidedly less useful when trying to sneak past guards.
DESCRIPTION
Is there anything more frustrating than going E.V. only to find that you couldn’t adjust the temperature in your suit properly or hit the keys on your datapad with the suit’s padded fingers? While he was overseeing the construction of the space dock facility on Commenor John couldn’t get past the fact that the bulky suits were difficult to manage. The UI did provide a lot of information, but he was dependant on the control office to make any adjustments. The engineer knew that as time went on and Locke and Key started developing armour systems the issues would still arise again. It was to that end that he started development on the Apollo control system, a way for someone in armour to still access the controls they needed to. Since the controls are holographic in nature they can scale up or down as is needed for ease of use, or reconfigure from a pad design to a full screen and keyboard.
