[SIZE=9pt]By switching the Tibanna gas used from regular to Tibanna X the rifle is capable of firing a bolt that cools to invisibility almost immediately. This invisible shot can’t be seen by the naked eye, although it can still be detected by sensors. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]When using Tibanaa X to provide the fuel for [/SIZE][SIZE=9pt]its[/SIZE][SIZE=9pt] shots the blaster bolts are almost invisible, but not quite. There would be a faint rippling through the air. Almost impossible to see, but not quite invisible and, although extremely difficult, it is possible to spot the telltale ripple in the air. Advanced sensor systems may also be able to spot the blaster bolts. Stun blasts are not invisible though and can be seen as normal.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]Because of the cooling effect of the Tibanna X the carbine’s range is much reduced when the cartridge is switched to use Tibanna X. While the bolts produced by this gas are near to invisible they cool rapidly, losing the energy contained within until they are no longer effective at longer ranges. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=11pt]The ability to attack without being spotted [/SIZE][SIZE=11pt]is,[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt] when it comes to a stealth mission, amongst the most useful abilities that a weapon can have. The engineers at Locke and Key Mechanics approached the inquisitor with that in mind, aiming to make a weapon that was inherently stealthy. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]Most stealth weapons are suppressed or silenced kinetic weapons, using electromagnetics, repulsor or tensor technology to provide the weapon with [/SIZE][SIZE=11pt]it’s striking power. While Locke and Key examined all of these options they chose to go with something a little closer to standard. While a hi-tech solution appealed to the engineers, in the case of a weapon that was designed for special operatives to use behind enemy lines a more complex weapon stood more chance of breaking down. Instead, they chose to go with a standard, tried and tested,[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt] design. A standard blaster and just change up one little thing. The fuel source. Where most blasters, such as the DC-15[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt], use normal [/SIZE][SIZE=11pt]Tibanna[/SIZE][SIZE=11pt] gas, the Inquisitor uses Tibanna X. THe gases cooling functionality made the blaster’s bolts fade into invisibility rapidly after firing at the cost of a large energy expenditure which limited the effective range of the weapon. [/SIZE]
