DESCRIPTION
The Lilaste LO-EIS7 EMP/Ion Shell is a cutting-edge munition developed by the Lilaste Order's Defense Technology Division. Designed to combat the increasing reliance on shielded vehicles and installations in modern warfare, the LO-EIS7 is equipped with an advanced EMP/Ion disruption mechanism capable of disabling a wide range of electronic systems and energy shields upon impact. The shell is a dual purpose shell carrying an ION charge which acts like an Ion cannon splashing and draining shields on impact , and once shields are down the shell then acts similar to a HEAT shell, borrowing into armor, but instead of heated metal spalling. The shell releases an EMP charge.
The shell's core is made of Durasteel, chosen for its penetrative strength, allowing it to breach a target's outer defenses before unleashing its EMP/Ion payload. This ensures maximum effectiveness against shielded targets. The Impervium casing of the LO-EIS7 protects the shell's delicate internal components against high-velocity travel and impact rigors, ensuring that the EMP/Ion mechanism is delivered intact to the target.
While highly effective against electronic and shielded targets, the LO-EIS7's specialized nature means it is less effective against targets without electronic components or energy shields. Additionally, the high cost of production due to the advanced technology and expensive materials like Impervium makes the LO-EIS7 a significant investment for the Lilaste Order. Despite these limitations, the LO-EIS7 represents a significant leap forward in munitions technology, providing the Lilaste Order with a powerful tool against technologically advanced adversaries.
