LOA LOA From Discord Channels

Hello. As the title says, I am taking an LOA from the few discord channels that I am in. My confidence in my writing ability have taken a serious blow and rather than gain myself foot-in-mouth-disease, I thought it best to bow out of them for now. I am personally shy and easily intimidated and it is because of that that it had taken me so long to even join one of the group channels to begin with.

I don't know how long this will last but my discord is still there for direct messaging, or as always, there is the inbox in the forum.

I'm so sorry to hear this Liin Terallo , from our little interaction on Chaos you seem like a lovely person and a gifted writer.

I am not sure what happened but I too take a particularly distanced approach from Discord. I keep it for personal DM's and of course Faction Administration but I'm not overly outgoing on this front as it can often distract from the written content/roleplay as far as my personal experience has gone.

Unfortunately there will be times where people disagree or act like asshats, as is human nature. Give yourself some time and then hopefully you can continue as you have. Don't let the discord vibes discourage you from Chaos and if you need someone to talk to or hang with, I'm always around.

No one can tell you how to feel but yourself. So you do what you need to do and take all of the time you need to. Whether that means eventually, or never coming back to those Discord Channels, that is your call. Mental health is more important than anything this site or Discord can provide. Take care of yourself, and if you need an ear (or set of eyes as the case may be), feel free and reach out at your convenience.

I came into this forum to write and I still fully intend to carry on with that. I am glad to know that I am not the only one that distances themselves from time to time, ha ha! I am not a part of any of the major stories, so there is not anything that I would be missing out on in the discord chatter. But thank you anyways

I like to use the PM's on Site. Everyone asks me why when I do it but it's a good feature lol and you can't miss it unlike Discord getting clogged up with messages left right and center.

From our last discussion, unless things have changed since, then I'm pretty sure you're not associating with too many major factions at the moment but if you ever do, especially if you become a staff member, your discord can get pretty hectic fairly quickly

I mute almost everyone on discord that I speak to regularly and set the notification settings for servers to none. So I only get pings if I’m directly tagged or replied to. That way it’s not that overwhelming.

Also do that for chaos, I’m not pinged when my posts are liked and unwatch big threads so I don’t get ping irrelevant to my char.

If you ever think of hoping back on discord that’s something that you could do.
