STRENGTHS
  • Resilient Warheads - While the Lobeha Mwadu II has only an average armament for a craft of its class, its missiles are highly-resistant to missile deactivation transmitters and sensor inverters due to the incorporation of the FAE/S-07 Offensive Retention System, giving them a better chance of breaching enemy defenses and reaching their target.
  • Electronic Control and Countermeasures - The Lobeha Mwadu II has an ECM suite and inclusive countermeasures, giving the starfighter the ability to exert a degree of influence on the electromagnetic environment in a given battlespace. These systems also give it a degree of protection against guided ordnance.
  • Amphibian - The life support systems, electromotive field motors, and hydrostatic fields allow the Lobeha Mwadu II to traverse underwater and remain submerged for an indefinite period of time. In a pinch, this function could be used to hide from pursuing enemy forces or even to initiate a surprise attack!
  • Stealth and Distortion - The Lobeha Mwadu II has a full suite of stealth systems, allowing it to maintain a virtually invisible sensor profile during most operating conditions. It is also capable of remaining concealed against most common anti-stealth sensors, including, but not limited to, gravity sensors, crystal gravfield traps, and mass sensors due to its gravitic modulators, magnetic sensors due to its magnetic field generators, thermal sensors, and to a degree, Force Sense and its derived powers due to the craft’s Taozin undercoat. In addition, the Lobeha Mwadu II benefits from the addition of a Phase Masque, which works to effectively distort the craft's visual and sensory profile.
  • Hypermaneuverability - Owing to its upgraded FAE/S-01 “Pentozali” Agility Array, the Lobeha Mwadu II is an agile craft which is capable of executing dazzling maneuvers at intense speed. This feature is especially beneficial during dogfights, allowing the Lobeha Mwadu II to dance around enemy craft so as to quickly obtain a favorable position in a dogfight.
WEAKNESSES
  • Mechu-deru - An unspoken weakness of any complicated and advanced technology, the Lobeha Mwadu II is vulnerable to the dark sorceries of Mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting powers. As such, a skilled practitioner of such arts could feasibly disable the Lobeha Mwadu II, inflicting any number of technical malignancies or malfunctions. Furthermore, the Lobeha Mwadu II utilizes an aggressive, bloodthirsty Myrmidon AI in its targeting system. In theory, a techno-sorcerer could exploit this characteristic by disabling the safeguards that keep the Myrmidon in check, at which point the weapons could fire indiscriminately, targeting both friend and foe.
  • Sensitive Passive Sensors - The passive sensor array on the hull of the Lobeha Mwadu II is an extreme boon to the pilot’s battlespace awareness, especially in conditions where the use of active sensors may reveal the aircraft’s location. However, they are also very vulnerable, as even glancing blows can destroy or disable the sensors on or around the affected areas. In essence, as the hull takes more hits, the Spyglass’ passive reception array will become increasingly ineffective.
  • SLAM - Usage of the Lobeha Mwadu II's SLAM comes at the expense of its main cannons. In addition, extended use of the system will drain power faster than it can be replenished, forcing the pilot to divert power from other systems, such as shields and countermeasures, in order to maintain it over long periods. The SLAM will also nullify most of the Lobeha Mwadu II's stealth capabilities.
  • Ordnance - While the Lobeha Mwadu II isn't a missile gunship, it does carry ordnance, meaning that there is a small, not-insignificant chance that a penetrating shot could detonate a warhead and cause the craft to explode.
DESCRIPTION
The successor of the original Lobeha Mwadu, the Lobeha Mwadu II is refitted from a stock N-ETL Starfighter, rather than a Ragnos-class like the previous version flown by Seela Leini during the Third Imperial Civil War. Accordingly, the modification takes aesthetic cues from the ancient N-1, but it spurns much of the environmental considerations in favor of stealth, agility, and utility. One example of this prioritization lies in the engines, which are now cooled with TibannaX and IR suppressors giving the Lobeha Mwadu II a cool thermal profile.

Once the refit was complete, the Lobeha Mwadu II saw extensive upgrades to its speed, maneuverability, stealth, and utility features. While the craft’s firepower wasn’t upgraded per se, it was made more modular, allowing the pilot to tailor her loadout to different missions. Finally, the stock black hull was repainted red to mark out Seela’s double ace status, in addition to serving as an outward sign of her devotion to Darth Carnifex and His Eternal Rule.

All in all, Seela Leini hopes that the Lobeha Mwadu II will come to be seen as a potent symbol and instrument of the Eclipsing Mission’s ascendance, rather than its decline.
