Today was shopping day, a little trip that Hex and Hilal Vizsla Hilal Vizsla Had promised each other for a little while and were finally able to to. She sat on the repulsor tram on denon, spinning her Dervish knife a little nervously, things had got a little out of hand on a job a few days ago and Hex was still feeling a little out of sorts. But it was good to be here, and above them, far above, the sun was shining.

She looked at her friend Hilal and grinned, "I don't normally do this, I usually make my own." The blade continued to spin in her hands.

'...over there, man in grey, keeps looking at you...'
"..uh-huh.." she responded.

She looked over at him, and glared at him until his own gaze was broken. She then rolled her eyes and nudged Hilal for attention again. "I haven't got a lot of cash right, but i don't want you to just offer to pay for everything."

'...she probably knows by now...'
'...but what if she thinks we are just milking her?...'
"shhhhhh, yeah"

"its just..." she finally spoke to Hilal again instead of her voices, "I dont like to take advantage." she smiled again as the craft buped to a stop outside a large shopping centre with large entry way and vaulted glass ceiling, it would have been almost beautiful if it wasn't in the shadows of the taller buildings, it certainly had the feel of a building that used to be top layer before it had fully grown.

Hex thought about the changing rooms too, that was annoying, she didnt like trying stuff on, and she wasnt as pretty as Hilal, so the stuff wouldnt look right on her anyway.

Ah Denon, if there was one thing that it had over Coruscant was their great malls particularly: The Mall of Denon. The mall was one of the largest malls in the galaxy attracting over 30.5 million people from all edges of the galaxy. It had everything from food courts, Holomovies and of course great clothing that was affordable as well. Hilal shopped here from time to time but once she started earning credits from Bounty Hunting, it became her favorite place to shop for designer goods. For weeks, Hilal begged Hex to go shopping with her, but she was always reluctant mainly because she liked to make her own clothing. But something told Hilal that statement was bullchit.

"Oh, come on Hex," Hilal giggled giving her best friend a friendly nudge on her shoulder. "Your clothes are nice, but you could get something even better! We both have good paying jobs now! Why not live a little?!"

The young woman peered through the window of the Repulsor Tram seeing the Mall of Denon in sight. It was breathtaking seeing the large spiral tower plopped in the middle of the majestic city. Hilal always preferred Denon over Coruscant due to its mixture of an ecumenopolis and rural area. Courscant always crammed too much chit onto the planet it was amazing that the planet didn't die out due to the atmosphere degenerating with its excess in carbon dioxide. "They say that Courscant has the most advanced Atmospheric Dampeners in the Galaxy." Hilal thought. "Coruscant had thousands of them installed. Maybe if I could inspect those Dampeners, I could build one myself to present to my people."

Couldn't hurt, with Kresti growing in size, there could be a call for building cities. Hilal could start building the dampeners ahead of time. "You're not taking advantage of me Hex." Hilal sighed. "How many times do I have to tell you that? They got the cheapest prices with high quality stuff so we'll be fine."

Hex simply gave her friend a raised eyebrow and then the thought disappeared as they were were ushered off the tram and into the courtyard, she walked a little ahead and stood on front of a holographic representation of the mall "you are here" she read aloud as she got her bearings.

"I'm glad you've been here before, this place is a jumble" she laughed before seeming to spot something and trotting off. It was a small concession in the courtyard selling sunglasses.

"These are cute!" She said as she picked up a pair of glasses and tried them on, nice large glasses with thin rims. Still expensive at half price.

'...do you need these? How many levels down do you live?...'
"Ah yes, but since we starting robbing richer people we can afford to see the sun a little more often can't we?"

The concession holder sidled over towards her, more overtly hovering over her as she spoke to herself. The mention of robbing people? Was she joking or was he about to lose half his stock.

"Don't worry, your good today" Hex grinned at him as she realised what she had said. It would not be the best of starts to a day out to be running from the law already. Not over a pair of sunglasses that only cost.... jeez, for one pair? How did people afford to live here.

Hilal immediately departed the Repulsor Train trying to keep pace with Hex. Looks like she was just as excited as Hilal was in expanding their wardrobe, but more importantly Hilal was just happy to be spending time with her best friend. The young woman gazed at large tower that sat in the middle of millions of customers from all over the galaxy. From the middle, a blue crystal glowed brilliantly against the Sun. Hilal never saw architecture that was so beautiful in her life. She heard that the Mall was created by an eccentric trillionaire named: Herman Tulo, he was known for his unique architecture and fascination with crystals. It was said that he smuggled crystals from the planet Illum to create large the large glow, though this was only speculation. Still, it would be fucking hilarious to see the stinking Jedi get robbed. Serves them right for being so damn secretive!

The young woman turned her gaze towards Hex who was wearing a pair of glasses and headsets. "Ohhhh!" Hilal squealed in excitement. "Those look sooo cute!"

She didn't know why Hex didn't think she look pretty, everything she tried on looked cute on her. <Hey! Hey!> Hilal heard the familiar huttsee language and turned around to see a Swokes Swokes motion the two of them from behind her mini shop. <You gonna buy that? Those costs 130 credits.

"130 credits?" Hilal took out her credit chit. "Not bad for a pair of rim glasses and a headset! Do the headset come with music?"

<Nah!> The female Swoke Swoke waved her massive hand. <That's sold separately! Believe me 130 credits is pretty cheap compared to what's inside!>

"I'm all too aware," Hilal giggled adjusting the brim of her hat. "Is there a sale going on for clothing?"

<I've heard they're having a 70 percent off sale on the Skywalker Brand Store.> The Swoke Swoke replied.

"Oh chit! Skywalker brand!" Hilal grabbed Hex's arm. "They have some of the best clothing in the Galaxy!" She began to drag her friend. "Let's go Hex!" She shouted. "You need as much clothing as you can!"

Hex grinned, slightly irritated at her friend's insistence on ignoring her, but mostly just grateful that she wanted to do something nice "Lal! I literally just said.... but thank you."

'...she doesnt listen very well does she...'
"Yeah, its probably having her head in a bucket too often."

Hex's reply was aimed at the friend in her head but was said deliberately so Hilal could hear her, just teasing the mandalorian girl. She followed her friend in as she excitedly mentioned the virtues of some designer brand that Hex had heard of but didn't really know anything about, it just wasn't her scene.

"You need as much clothing as you can!"

"excuse me?" she laughed, "I happen to like my style!" she shook her head and rolled her eyes as the teenager took her hand and dragged her into the mall. There was so many people here, all spending more money than Hex had probably ever handled, her heart quickened a little as the scale of it began to overwhelm her a little and she beckoned for Hilal to slow down a little. Halil knew her well enough now to be beginning to understand her mental state, and knew there was some times when she just needed a moment to get her head together.

'...you know you dont belong here...'
"Maybe, but that isn't fair, why not?"
'...crawl back into your hole little girl...'
"..please...not today.."

There was a minor plea in Hex's voice as she spoke to herself and she seemed to retract a little before shutting hey eyes and beginning the breathing exercised Hilal had shown her. They helped Lal deal with the anxiety of combat, and they seemed to take the edge off of Hex's anxiety even just a little bit.

Hilal snorted continuing to hold Hex's hand. "Don't tell me what I can and can't do," she chuckled. "I told you that you're going to get more clothes and you will get it. Besides Hex, you got a cut of the profits from the shop. I mean it's not much, but it'll be enough to buy you an apartment in the lower levels of Coruscant."

It's kind of a shame that the shop didn't generate the income that Hilal hoped once she became more established as a Bounty Hunter. She needed to start expanding but she didn't have the financial means to do so. "I like your style as well," Hilal said looking over Hex's usual get up. "But you can do so much more! You're cute! Why not expand your tastes to express that cuteness!"

Hilal pinched her pale cheek while giggling before walking through the lower floors. "Sooooo," Hilal frowned. "Where was the Skywalker store..... Oh yeah! The 300th floor!"

She dragged Hex towards the elevator. "We're on floor 66," Hilal said. "But don't worry these elevators are state of the art! Made from the most advanced Repulsor thrusters they can take you up and down in half a minute!"

Hex flinched and pulled away slightly as Hilal pinched her cheek before giving her a slightly odd look "I'm not a kid you know?" she laughed, friendly, but a little serious, Hilal seemed to baby her sometimes, she liked the affection, Hilal was just quite tactile sometimes and it was something Hex was still not used to.

She wondered whether she had done enough to deserve a cut, but she supposed she fixed a few things for Hilal's customers while she was a way. "oooo! You reminded me, want to see what I bought!" She pulled up a holo image on her pad.

"Two more payments and its mine!" that is where most of the profits from her escapades on Denon had been funnelled, the previous owner let her paint it once he was certain she was going to be good for the money, she enjoyed that.

They walked toward the elevator and it rocketed into the sky.

'...we know how elevators work?...' Hex scowled at her voices and willed them quiet, it was just Hilal's way, she was excited by the tech.

Hex breathed deeply and looked out the window at Denon with a big smile "I like Denon, it's so much prettier than Coruscant, and there's people here, they get me" she thought of her new friendships in the Darkwire. "Think you could ever live somewhere like this?"

'...the mandalorian and the terrorist, shacking up and living happily under the noses of corpsec?...'
"Hmm, maybe not"

The elevator came to the top of the shaft and Hex stepped out, this place was fancy, far beyond Hex's normal circles, she saw a branch of the Jewellers that she had robbed recently and turned away discretely. "its OK to have a gun up her right?"

"Oh come on Hex!" Hilal laughed. "Remember the time you've put me in a sleeper hold?" The young woman shook her head. "I was knocked out for 7 hours! Yet one pinch on the cheek and I'm treating you like a child?"

She snorted in an assortment of giggles while the Elevator reached its destination. Before she exited, Hex showed Hilal the starfighter that she was saving up. "Holy chit!" Hilal said. "That's an M3-A Scyk fighter an interceptor made by my people! Looks like it's been heavily modded!" She squinted at the design. "Yup!" Hilal said happily. "It's no longer reliant on a Hyperdrive docking ring, so the Hyperdrive must be updated to modern standards. I spy the barrel for a plasma torpedo. Man Hex! This Starfighter is badass! You must've spent a fortune on it!"

As they left the elevator Hilal shrugged. "I dunno," she said. "Maybe, as tempting as it is I feel that It's best to stay among my people and continue building Kresti."

She noticed that Hex was more fidgety than usual when they passed the jewelry. "Yeah," Hilal said when Hex if it was okay to have a gun. "But it needs to be licensed. I'm part of the Bounty Hunters Guild so all of my weapons are automatically licensed."

Hilal frowned. "Why do you ask?" She said.

"Tube yes, launcher, no. It needs a little work, but it will be all mine." she swelled with pride at her achievement, sure it needed a nav computer and it had been pretty stripped down by scrappers, but it still flew.

Hilal frowned. "Why do you ask?" She said.

"oh... uh, no reason" Hex laughed, clearly lying, she had two pistols on her person, oh well, if Lal can carry them, why not her. She thought about Lal's job a little.

'...do you think she knows about the bounty on us?...'

Hex looked at the smile on Hilal's face, what was she thinking? Did she know corpsec were looking for her for the jewellery heist? Luckily they had very little concrete information on her right now.

'...look at that grin, she thinks she is so sweet, but she knows...'

Hex winced a little, but didn't respond to the voices aloud right now. She just slid her arm in to Hilal's as they walked and asked as innocently as possible. "you wouldn't bounty me would you?". The relationship she had with Hilal was strange, and somewhat tense at points, but Hex did care for her, and didn't ever want her as an enemy.

"I like that skirt!" she suddenly said, changing the subject as they walked past a store window, it was a mid thigh length purple tartan design. She pulled Hilal's arm to go to have a closer look.

Hilal knew Hex long enough to tell that she was lying, something was up but it was probably related her other criminal activity. She just wished that Hex told her what was going on. "Maybe when she's ready," Hilal thought adjusting her pink bag. "But should I wait that long, if anything her "friends" could drown her out and she might snap....."

She remembered all too well when Hex lost all sense of reality, how she put a gun to Hilal's head back at Empress Teta because she didn't want to go through with the suicidal contract. It took an emotional plea from Hilal to get her to stand down and that was only barely. Would Hex even pull the trigger on her? No, Hilal had faith in her friend she would always win against her "friends" but she definitely needs to be back on anti psychotics. Maybe Hilal can strike a deal with the Hutt Space Consortium so they can provide a steady supply.

It was then Hilal lost her train of thought when Hex asked if she would collect her bounty? Wait? What?! Now things are getting even stranger! What was Hex trying to say?! Hilal was about to speak but she found herself being pulled by the arm by Hex. "Hey Hex! Ow!" Hilal nearly tripped when Hex tugged her. She felt her shoulder nearly dislocate, either Hex was that strong or she was that weak. Knowing herself, it was probably the latter.

"Y-yeah," Hilal looked at the skirt that Hex gushed over forcing an uneasy smile. "That looks good, let's check it out!"

Though deep-down Hilal was growing increasingly worried for her friend.
