Look What the Cat Dragged In (Manu and Sindy)

Judah sat in the pub alone. Bri was on Tatooine, something about Zoora the Hutt and slaves, and the force wanting her there. The Telosian knight hadn't been too sure about the details because his mind was mostly on whether Katara was pregnant yet or not. He knew he needed to give it time, but Judah had hoped their many attempts of trying had been successful. This actually led the Knight to do something he rarely did, almost never when [member="Katara Starkos"] wasn't around. Judah Lesan was drinking a Corellian ale instead of his special blend of black tea.

Lost in his thoughts, Judah felt a presence he had not felt since his days with the Army of Light. It brought a smile to his face. The two had not really interacted in the short time Judah had been among them, but he did know the presence. There was an unfamiliar one to him though, but Judah was still meeting people. The Knight was still happy to meet another familiar face. It would make the order seem like a place to belong.

"My stars and super destroyers, [member="Judah Lesan"]!" The seven foot Echani caught sight of Judah from across the Pub, having felt since arriving at the Silver Jedi that familiarity would catch up with him sooner or later. For a moment he was back on the Telosian moon Temple, drifting into the Tavern with a Padawan under his wing and his friend and Battle Brother by his side. Judah'd fought with him in the War on Thyrsus, the man'd protected Manu's pregnant wi--

The Echani stopped short. This wasn't that Judah. The resemblance was uncanny, but the soul was off. Perhaps there were a finite number of souls in the universe that recycled back out of the Force's grasp and lived again in distant futures, born to distant parents on other worlds. Still, this Judah was familiar and as his memory returned, Manu knew he'd seen him since waking up before. "Care if I share a table, Warrior-friend? [member="Siyndacha Aerin"], meet Judah Lesan. As good a Jedi warrior as you're going to find."

Manu waved the bartender over and ordered a bottle of fortified emerald wine and three glasses. "Any more of us from the Army of Light make it here?"

When Manu had proposed getting familiar with this place - well, getting her familiar with it - Sindy hadn't hesitated to come along. She had come without Token, and while she was certain the other girl would be hot on her heels in no time flat, for once their schedules had left the half-echani girl a little lonesome. Since the day they had met, ever since she'd started working again, Sindy hadn't known a moment of free time that didn't have the other blonde in it. Manu was good for her spirits, he kept her thinking, but bit by bit she was starting to mope, and that wouldn't do.

So that was why she was here, in this pub, standing alongside a table occupied by a man whose hair seemed to rival that of her master's, [member="Manu Xextos"], in length. Hers, of course, was just a bit longer.

"Mister Lesan," she started, not quite smiling yet, her hand departing from its fold with the other in front of her, to be proffered to this new acquaintance, as she had been raised to do. "It's always nice to meet a friend of..."

She glanced at Manu, her brow furrowing a moment as she considered - of all things - protocol, then back to the dark-haired man, [member="Judah Lesan"], sporting a small-yet-warm smile on her face. "...of Manu's. Tell me, what is... or was this 'Army of Light'? I admit a gap in my knowledge about it."

The tall Echani greeted him with a warm smile, and almost a hint that the face belonging to Judah Lesan was a familiar one to him, an ancestor with the same name and face could have been possible, genetics were a funny thing. The Knight simply smoothed over what could have been an awkward moment, and greeted both [member="Manu Xextos"] and [member="Siyndacha Aerin"] before finding his stool once again.

"There are a couple of faces from the Army of Light which have made it here. Coci is among them, if you knew her. Vexander I believe, though I have only heard he made it here. There are others yet I am still learning about. Cambria Zadira my Twi'lek friend is here as well."

That answer should satisfy his question, and not to the one posed by the female.

"The Army of Light was a more militant arm of the Jedi, or split from the Jedi, as it really was. The group had been made up of many who were fed up with the posturing of the Jedi and wanted to take the fight directly to the Sith, and that is what we did. When their order was gone, the Army of Light disbanded. Though from what I have seen in the galaxy in my travels, a bit too soon."

Cold liquid slid down Judah's throat as the contents of the glass bottle made the journey to his stomach. A satisfied look told the Knight he should do this more often than he did, but Judah was concerned about not being clouded when the time came to make a decision that could impact other lives.

"So Manu, what have you been up to lately, and what brings you and your friend here?"

"Good to know we live on, we'll have a stable amount of warriors in the Silver Jedi so that makes me glad. Ah! After I awoke from Krystallsøvn I didn't join the Jedi. Just the Army. I found my way to the Confederacy Navy, Judah. Was given the Viceroyalty of Tythe and Nelvaan, and Admiral Seat of the Sv'yato Fleet. Feel free to visit my new home world. It's a bit . . . dead right now, it was mined out centuries ago, but I'm shifting it back bit by bit to a place of plenty. Nelvaanians are doing fine so that's a blessing. Man, I remember the days when I wasn't running planets." Manu shook his head with a laugh, taking a long drink from his ale mug and glancing over to [member="Siyndacha Aerin"]. [member="Judah Lesan"] explained the AoL perfectly, one less thing to teach Sindy.

"Evil always hides until its moment comes. It smiles at you through lips identical and then opens wide its' jaws. Got my Mastership, and with it the Fleet. Plied my trade among the Templar Curates, but you know the Templars. There is no Jedi or Sith with them, all are welcome and that does tax my more radical Light Sided leanings. Tend to keep to myself, the Master Council's got a couple real ninnies. About time I took my flock to some real Jedi. Remind us all what the Light is for, so I'm here and brought my Padawans with me. Here to give the Silver Jedi my full Mastership and Naval support." Shaking his head, he tipped his chair back on two legs and stretched.

"What about you, Judah? How've you been keeping up the time? Taken any Padawans of your own? Sing me the songs of your battles." Manu laughed again, hoping that in his ease Sindy would also loosen up and be able to settle gladly into the spirit of the place, that grace and excitement of being in a place of Light and none else. It was ecstatic.
