Looking for Belligerent Individuals to Hold World Against All Comers

Tired of dealing with politics?

Done with pandering to ham handed idiots who couldn't pour piss out of a boot with instructions on the heel?

Sick of watching those idiots run your beloved faction into the ground?

I'm looking for people who are washed up, burned out, and just plain old sick and tired of dealing with the BS. The goal is simple: get enough people together who are finished dealing with the crap and find a place where we can dig our heels into the ground, throw our middle fingers in the air, and burn every last motherkarker who comes looking for trouble to the ground.

I'm looking for folks who can handle themselves in a duel, who can lead troops, and who know how to fleet. Not necessarily all in the same person, either. If you know how to handle yourself, even a little, you're in. We can work on the skill thing. If you've got an ego the size of a house, leave it at the door. This ain't that kinda party. I ain't trying to throw this shindig together only to have someone throw a hissy fit when they don't get their way. We're gonna do it together or not at all.

Anyway, consider this an interest check. If you're interested, sound off.

The digging in of the heels is as much a metaphor as anything. We're taking a stand against the petty crap that makes life in some other major factions a right pain in the ass. We're gonna do it our way, we're gonna have fun, and if that doesn't jive well with some folks, let 'em come try and stop us.

My goal is to get us our own little dot on the map. Just by doing that and building up, someone is bound to come knocking at some point or another.

Glad to hear it. I'm gonna hazard a guess and say you're more of a troops on the ground type?

Look at the benefits. No really. You get a private kingdom, a private navy, private parties, private wealth, and if you're Danger you can even tell the Major Factions to go suck it. All without ever having to host a dominion, invasion, skirmish, or deal in politics ever again. You don't need to train a Jedi, look at a Jedi, interact with a Jedi, sex a Jedi, or hear "Guys I need a Master" ten times a day. There are no FAs, no forums to moderate, no votes to make, no reports to deal with, no mass pms to ignore, and no mandatory staff meetings to attend. And the best part is? You don't need a single other schmuck to help you build it or defend it. You can build a company from the ground up just on your own creative merits alone. You can even call it "Burger Tits" or "50 Shades of S&M - The Used Books Outlet", because reasons.

And. If you're really itching for some Map Game PvP drama? Just join any Major Faction at the drop of a hat and pew pew pew away. With zero consequences to your company's status quo.

It would hardly be worth it if there was nothing really on the line. The whole purpose of a barfight is to risk getting your face bashed in for a chance at doing some face bashing yourself, not egging the guy on and either drawing a .45 or calling the cops when things start to get dicey.

Well hell, either dueling or fleeting is great, but if you can do both, that's even better.

That's two. Anyone else?

I might be interested in this. But the one character I have set up here has been living fairly comfortably doing what he's doing (off site). So there would need to be some ICLY reason to bring him over. Come up with a backstory and I'd probably be in.

Story depends entirely on what the group as a whole wants to cook up. I'm perfectly fine with something along the "we got bored so we conquered a planet", but I understand that that's probably not gonna fly.

I have an inkling of an idea about a bunch of crusty old veterans deciding they're sick and tired of watching the Jedi and the Sith tearing the galaxy apart and deciding to carve out a corner of it for folks who just want to be left the hell alone, but again, that's dependent on what you guys want to cook up.

Yeah. I'm still new here. So not a vet on this site. But have a lot of experience off-site and left the one character I have open to having a history before he was found. But yeah. I can see the issues you've taken here after just a couple days of being here. Unfortunatly it happens. All too often folks go over the top and want to control everything when stuff is allowed to go Willy nilly with action and drama instead of focusing on character development and individual relationships. Which is why I used to pretty much stick to small group stories instead of stuff done on the galactic scale. But yeah.

I've run planets and fleets and everything in between. So pitch a good storyline to me and we can hammer something out.

If I only wanted action and adventure I'd go to a star trek board.
