Looking for friends and a platform of sorts

I believe this is my third attempt at wanting to get integrated to this site, but maybe it is a charm. If you view my profile I made a pilot character who has the force in him, but knows nothing of its existence or anything of the sorts. I wish to make a kid with good intentions who wants to fight the sith (he only saw imperials so never saw an actual Sith) and become a pilot for someone. I tried joining the rebels, but it seemed a bit light and not a good fit.


I am hoping I can become a helpful part of this faction assuming it is what I am looking for. I am afraid I am unsure the difference in the republic and this faction...

Welcome and here's hoping you stick this time.

In many ways, most of the Factions operate in the same way. As in a place to work with people you can write stories with. But they're all slightly different in look and feel. Having said that, I'm a member of both the GR and the GA (and the OS all with different characters) so don't set too much store by differences.

In answer to your question, both are Light-sided. The GA is newer and definitely on the up. The GR has been around a lot longer but has taken a severe beating from the One Sith.

Again, not keen to focus on differences. Try the GA out and see how you fit in. If it doesn't work for you, you can try a different Faction like the GR.

Specific to your character, how soon do you want to be aware of your Force sensitivity? I ask as Nubica spends a lot of time as a pilot and she's a Jedi. So she'd spot the fact if that's a story you want to write (and is ready in the wings (ooh - bad pun) if you want to flesh out the pilot part first).

Personally, I like slow builds and story more than making a powerful character. Think of it more as a reverse Darth Bane build. I want him to be a pilot and every now and then he does things a non force user can't. After so many, higher ups notice and then he begins his path as a Jedi. He is 16 now so maybe 18 or 19....

That works for me.

My advice? Post in Dominions. You can post 'solo' and start to build your back-story. It means you don't have to wait for other writers to go at your pace and you can start to flesh out your character AND help the GA at the same time.

Most of Nubica's Dominion posts are in space. I never planned for her to be a pilot, it just organically happened that way. And I simply write my own story...you don't have to fulfill any of the stated objectives.
