Looking For Organisational Emblems

RIP Carlyle Rausgeber

"It's all been bloody marvellous..."
For an upcoming RP I plan on doing, has a number of terrorist and rebel organisations. Organisations, that I feel warrant their own emblems. See, what I'm looking for, is organisational emblems, like the work put out by [member="Valessia Creed"] in this thread here.

I actually have no ideas as to what I'd really want these organisations' emblems to look like, so it's sort of free reign. Make what you want, and Enclosed below are the organisations I want emblems for. Choose either one, or all to work with, and feel free to create something which you feel, fits the vibe of them. If you want to ask any questions, feel free to.

The Freedom League: Made up of the educated classes, the Freedom League is the civilian, pacifist arm of Barkhesh’s resistance movement. They have achieved some success in their requests for concessions, and are an urbanely based organisation. Thanks to the careless actions of the Righteous Legion, and the implausibility of Hubert Heroes victory, the Freedom League has distanced itself from those groups. Through this, they have become pariahs, and are thought of as controlled opposition by most resistance groups.

Hubert’s Heroes: Lead by Gaspard Hubert, a charismatic local businessman, Hubert’s Heroes optimism and good intention, lead to a ground swell of support, including from Barkhesh’s elite, who funded the secret importation of survival equipment for the group. However poor tactics, and an inability to adapt to a more ruthless battlefield has meant that Huberts Heroes has become a joke. The optimism and popular support that once backed them, has all but evaporated. They are no longer funded by foreign influences, and have had their recruitment pool evaporate.

The Free Barkhesh Alliance: A loose alliance of rural militias and landowners opposed to the First Order. Although they promote the ideals of justice, peace and freedom. Although they are not well armed, or trained, their widespread nature means that by default they are the largest opposition. The Free Barkhesh Alliance has fought a protracted guerrilla war, during which they’ve lost nearly triple the numbers the First Order has in fighting them. Although they’re losing, they still make large scale operations in Barkhesh’s jungles and provinces difficult thanks to their traps and improvised weapons.

The Lothcats: A group of teenagers from the southern hemisphere, the Lothcats have used a mixture of their age, and knowledge of their locality to hold off the First Order, and make the immediate occupation of their region near impossible. They have been lionised for their efforts in folklore, and a bounty for their capture has been put up for 35’000 credits.

The Righteous Legion: The most effective opposition group to the First Order, the Righteous Legion are willing to push the limits of ethical standard to pursue Barkhesh’s liberation. The group is made up of Republic veterans from the One Sith-Republic war, mercenaries and other groups. Bankrolled by rich benefactors who have either defected from Huberts Heroes, or private citizens from the Alliance occupied Core. The Legion’s ruthless bombings and lynching of suspected collaborators. Because of their terrorist acts, and the fighting they have fermented between other groups. Their tactics have lead to the First Order’s strong arm policy of executing any and all rebels they come across.

The darkness lays ever near the light.
I will have a go a making these tomorrow at some point, I think. In the meanwhile, here's an example of my work:

I use a... Unique way of making emblems that involves a variety of software and quite a bit of searching through google. Can't really say much more than that, secrets of the trade ;)

Throwing my own hat in the ring. I've made an emblem for each of the five groups, along with a brief explanation of its symbolism. Feel free to use or discard each as you see fit.

Related question: would you allow PCs from these factions? I'd be happy to go along with any storyline you have in mind. If not, that's fine too. I just think they sound interesting!

The Freedom League: The symbol of the Freedom League depicts a green mountain against a blue moon. These are representative of peaceful Barkheshi mystics who climbed tall peaks to commune with the moon spirit, standing for the League's dedication to peaceful resolution of the conflict with the First Order and preservation of Barkhesh's history and heritage. The tan column behind the moon represents that these ideas are the League's central pillar, and that it stands for stability and conviction even in times of strife.

Hubert's Heroes: The lantern standard of Hubert's Heroes, surrounded by a ring of night, represents the hope they bring in times of darkness. The red flame is intended to recall the color of the Rebel Alliance starbird and the long-ago battles against the Galactic Empire on Barkhesh. The blue of the lantern represents a Barkheshi sky free of First Order ships. The design surrounding and supporting the lantern is a traditional Barkheshi pattern derived from the planet's ancient temples, and symbolizes a commitment to preserving the planet's heritage.

The Free Barkhesh Alliance: The insignia of the Free Barkhesh Alliance depicts a blue planet, its moon, and three stars. The planet is Barkhesh itself. The moon, which has spiritual significance dating all the way back to the ancient temples predating modern settlers, is included to indicate that the Alliance is guided by justice and morality. The three stars represent the three systems of the Seitia Sector that resisted the Empire during the Galactic Civil War: Barkhesh, Gal Milnor, and Fanha. This is intended to parallel the struggle with the First Order.

The Lothcats: The symbol of the Lothcats is drawn from local graffiti, an urban art style popular with the teenagers who make up the group's membership. The purple pawprint and the brown scratches are a fusion of the symbols of two of the youth gangs that came together to form the resistance group. The grey field they are tearing apart represents the conformity they believe the First Order is trying to spread across Barkhesh. All are contained by a black circle of night, the time when the group is most active in its secret attacks on First Order operations.

The Righteous Legion: The winged sword of the Righteous Legion, superficially similar to an inverted Rebel Alliance starbird, represents the willingness of the Legion to rebel using any means necessary and at any cost. The red hexagon represents the blood of those killed in the struggle against First Order occupation. The six sides of the hexagon represent the "sixfold toll" the legion has pledged to inflict on the First Order and any collaborators in retaliation - six kills for every Legion casualty. Beige and blue-grey represent farmers and miners rising up.

I hope at least some of that strikes your fancy! Let me know. [member="Carlyle Rausgeber"]

I love them. They're so pretty, and shiny! And I love that you've added the reasoning behind the symbolism. It's great!

If you're interested in joining, PM me, and I'll hook you up with the details!

That being said, this isn't closed yet, I'd still enjoy seeing your work [member="Darren Torran"]
