Looking for some Sense (Darth Ferus)

The people of the villages in Alderaan's forest were kinder than Minna had expected. With their original planet being destroyed, she thought they would be cautious of outsiders, especially those who weren't of the Republic. But as a matter of fact, they were extremely helpful when it came to asking around. Minna was looking for a Zabrak, which she was sure the villagers couldn't have missed, as it wasn't often a colourful Zabrak passed by. They had all pointed to this general area of the forest which she now stood in. An open clearing devoid of trees, but instead home to small blades of grass and, at the end of the clearing, a cave. "Here, is anyone?" Minna called out, loud enough for anyone in the cave to hear, but mindful of alerting anything unwanted in the forest around her.

The Zabrak stood above the cave, munching on a fruit similar to an apple. He had one foot handing off of the ledge he was on, swinging the limb slow. "Do ya need somethin?" His voice was raspy, burned like. He watched the Yodaling closely, unsure on who exactly it was. Ferus was dressed in black, covering most of his form with the shell spider silk. As he watched her, he suddenly figured it out, and left down, already reaching for his blade.

"You. Minna. I remember you. I figured Alexandra would come herself, but instead she sends you?" His voice was irritated, slowly rising in vocal level.

Minna lowered her hood, raising her hand and shaking her head. "No." She looked up at [member="Darth Ferus"] with her eyes narrowed. "Any past between you and Alexandra, I care not for. It is training, I seek. Not vengeance." Her hand drifted back down to the top of her walking stick, which also had her other hand resting upon it. As usual she was using the stick to support her back after the injury, but it was getting better. "Force Sense. Familiar with it, I believe you are. Require training in it, I do." She nodded, her voice having a 'straight-to-the-point' sound to it.

"Require?" The apple like fruit dropped to the ground first, finished. Then the dark figure did, landing atop the core with a loud crunch underfoot. He started at [member="Minna"] , his pale blue gaze slowly turning that to red. He lifted a single hand, aiming to use the Force and lift her small figure up into the air, squeezing her throat all the while.

"You do not make demands of me, you should know that by now." He said with a slight rage to his voice. But despite the rage, he was calm otherwise. It was as if he was speaking to an unruly student, disciplining her for her disrespect.

Minna had heard that Krest had taken a turn for darker ways, but she didn't realise it was as bad as this. She was easily raised, causing her walking stick to drop to the floor below. Despite the gradual restriction of air, she remained calm and closed her eyes, channeling the force into her right hand. After a few moments, she sent a blast of force at [member="Darth Ferus"] aiming to break his grip. If it worked, she would land and brush off her robes. "I ask of it. Understand you are a powerful knight, I do. Appreciate your training, I would." Her voice would be a little croaky as she rubbed her throat.
If she didn't manage to break free then... she was helpless...

He slid back from her push, releasing her from his grasp. Ferus blinked for a moment, then grinned, looking the yodaling over. "Very well." He moved, leaning against the cave behind him, motioning towards the entrance. "Ironically, this cave will be helpful for your training. Though, don't expect it to be easy. I'll be trying to kill you after all." He pointed past [member="Minna"] , back to where she had come from. "Or you can leave. I'll give you a choice sense you were such a good student before."

Minna frowned, using the force to bring her walking stick back into her hand. "Stay I shall. Always good, a challenging lesson is." She made her way into the cave, with her stick for support, before stopping beside [member="Darth Ferus"] and turning her head. "One question, may I ask? Why did you choose to dedicate yourself to the dark side in the end?" There was no appeal in the dark side to Minna, she couldn't understand it. But, in turn, she didn't dislike dark siders, she was merely curious as to why he chose that path, the same way Jedi would be curious of her path.

He waved her in again, sending a not so light but rude push of the Force to get her on her way. He would not answer her question today, for he had his reasons. The Jedi needed to be dealt with, but for the sake of balance he would have to break them with the Dark. He'd follow in only after [member="Minna"] found herself in the pitch darkness that was the cave, now speaking. His voice would echo around the walls, making it almost impossible to tell where he was with sound. The smell of the damp cave would also prevent smell. Essentially, he was invisible to the yodaling.

"Now, I'm going to try and kill you. You'll have to figure out where I am and what I'm using to stay alive. Necessity training yes? If you survive, you pass!"

"Using a lightsaber, I guess you will not be..." She smirked, knowing that would have been much easier. It was clear this was going to be hard, but she ran through all her other training with Alexandra about channeling the force and tried to piece together any bits that might help with Force Sense. "Very well, begin, when you wish." Minna closed her eyes as she entered the darkness, hands still resting on top of her stick. Reaching out with the force, she tried to feel her surroundings with it, and detect any movement from [member="Darth Ferus"]

Ferus kept surprisingly still throughout the whole of this. Without even moving his hands he would begin, lifting smaller pebbles and throwing them at [member="Minna"] . The rocks would shine brighter to those trying to sense, filled with the Force as Ferus continued to do so. For now he continued with the pebbles, calm and collected, waiting to see how the yodaling would do.

Minna saw something change in the force, something brighter... Ouch. The first few pebbles hit her, taking her by surprise. After that though, she began to recognise the brighter parts in her 'force vision'. Her small stature and speed helped now, as she began to dodge the incoming pebbles. It seemed she was getting the hang of it, as the pebbles nearly all missed her now. "The hang of this, I have got. Harder, you must try." She was unsure if her smirk was seen or sensed by [member="Darth Ferus"] but she was beginning to enjoy this training.

[member="Minna"]

The faint of a grin slowly faded as she goaded him on. Now, he reached out with both hands, tearing sharp and jagged chunks of rock free from their nesting place. Now he would throw them, intent on killing the yodaling. One insult too many, and Ferus lost it. The rocks would shoot outwards, almost the speed of a laser shot. If Minna could evade these, she'll be well on her way with learning a better sense.

Minna had aimed to anger the Zabrak, and it worked. She knew Sith usually had a short temper, and exploiting this would better her training. However, she didn't want to die, so she used the force to bring her lightsaber into her right hand, without activating it, just as a precaution. When the shards came, Minna was already moving to be ready. As she felt one cut the left side of her robe, she concentrated on detecting the rest, allowing her body to move swiftly to evade the others. After all the shards had passed, she remained silent. Whatever was coming next would require her full concentration...

The Zabrak let out a sigh then, lightly waving a hand. The roof of the cave itself would begin to collapse, most of the supporting structure torn away by his anger from before. He'd slip out of the cave then, simply letting the cave collapse for him. Sense wasn't just things that stood out with the Force, but everything. This would be his last test and his last trial for the Yodaling. He wasn't going to stick around, and simply left [member="Minna"] to her own devises. If she got out, she got better. If she didn't, she died. Win win to Darth Ferus.

Minna sensed the cave itself collapsing, and also sensed the Zabrak leaving. Although, his departure wasn't her biggest concern. She leapt towards the entrance, dodging a large part of the roof, but finding herself under another falling part. This is why she had kept her lightsaber, as she activated it, slicing a falling rocking in half to give her time to leap again fully outside of the cave. Deactivating her lightsaber, she looked around for [member="Darth Ferus"] , but he was out of sight. "Thank you..." She muttered, in the slight hope he was listening nearby, before turning and making her way back to the temple...
