Looking to dip into the Force... Slowly

I don't want my character to become a Jedi anytime soon, but I would like to lay the frame work and make Jedi friends and even silver Jedi of that is still a thing.

My character knows nothing about the Force or the existences of the Jedi or what the Sith actually are. During his planet's invasion he never saw a Sith with a lightsaber and only saw pilots and ground infantry.


Anyone want to be friends?

I'd tag in to be friends. And who knows, maybe by the time you're ready to start delving into the Force, I might be a Knight, and might be at a place to begin taking apprentices.

At the very least, we'll be friends, at least OOC, depending on where our personal plots lead us!

The Silver Jedi are still a thing. They combined with the Levantine Sanctum and are now part of a Coalition. Technically the Levantines combined with them, but that's a minor detail...

Part of which are people of people who hang around the Silver Jedi, even though they aren't one. Such as myself.

I'd like that, but currently my character knows nothing about them or the Force so I have to start there and then work my way to hanging out with them.

Perhaps your character was hired as my apprentice! Or a chef, or a waiter, or... is just hauling in much needed supplies food/drink and stopping off for a spell. Nice thing with it being the SSC now you could be one of a hundred merchants, contractors or individuals stopping off at the bar for a drink.

There's also Oswaft Station at Laekia, which is host to the Levantine Astronautical Academy -- the Coalition's version of an Imperial Academy basically.

It's a port of call in Wild Space that might provide some roleplay opportunities for running into random people at the McYoda's.

Or, if you have a particular planet in mind, I'm sure there's a way to set up an encounter with any number of PCs.

Currently he is becoming a part of the Rogue Squadron in the Rebel Alliance soooo not sure those would work. Though,[member="Boo Chiyo"] idea of the Academy sounds like a high possibility. though seems the Academy is a bit abandoned.

As a minor faction, yes, the Levantine Academy is kind of dead at the moment. But, as a premise for a story, it's still a viable plot device in that it's established to exist in our little corner of the galaxy. And sometimes that's all you need to get the ball rolling.

So, for example, you could start a thread that takes place on Oswaft Station, having arrived or attended a job fair, astrogation seminar, or some other such plot device hosted by the Academy as a means of plausibly explaining why your character would be in Coalition space.

While there, he might bump into some random Pantoran carrying an amphistaff. Which is sure to inspire either conversation or running hysterically for your life.

Always ways to make things come together or work. As [member="Jay Scott Clark"] would likely note, the only limit is your imagination.
