• Songsteel Threads: The Robes are threaded with Songsteel, providing a small degree of defense against slashing attacks, and improved defense against lightsaber attacks.
• Force Imbuement: The Robes have been imbued with the Force to increase defense against Lightsaber attacks, as well as provide unparalleled defense against Force attacks.

• Extreme Force Defense: The Force Imbuement process has protected the robes to an extreme degree against The Force
• Lightsabers: The Songsteel Threads have been bolstered through the Force to provide above average defense against Lightsabers
• Kinetics: The songsteel threads can also deflect slashing kinetic attacks, like swords or daggers.

• Robes: The Robes are naught but clothing. While they have been augmented to defend against Lightsabers and the Force, they are useless at defending anything else

The Lord Commander robes were first created when Voph assumed the title, to match the general style of the robes that the rest of the Knights Obsidian would come to wear. While not a uniform per say, the robes are considered formal dress for the Knights Obsidian, and Voph will typically don this creation when visiting formal events.
