Lord Imperius
Character
"Many things just merely have to be broken down to their base form to be simply understood, the Force is no different."
Name: Zorath Karvun
Age: 28
Species: Givin
Gender: Male
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 178 lbs
Force Sensitive: Yes
Physical Description: Zorath Karvun, like all Givin, possesses a skeletal appearance, but his form is especially imposing and reminiscent of a walking nightmare. His bone-white skin stretches tightly over his tall, gaunt body, accentuating his hollow eye sockets, which glow with an faint red light when he uses the Force. His skull-shaped head is angular, with sharp edges and pronounced cheekbones, giving him a deathly visage that instills fear in most. His elongated limbs, covered in ornate, black robes lined with silver symbols. His presence is further magnified by his heavily armored, dark metallic chest plate, and his voice is deep, resonating from his chest like an echo.
Personality: Zorath is coldly analytical, driven by an unshakable belief that the Force is not mystical, but rather a quantifiable energy field governed by laws of nature that can be mastered and bent to his will. He views emotions as distractions, and even his descent into the dark side is rooted in his intellectual quest for ultimate control over the Force. To him, the dark side represents the raw, unfiltered potential of the Force. Untamed power that can be understood through scientific methods and formulas.
He often considers himself above other Force users, both light and dark, believing they waste their potential by adhering to outdated doctrines and emotions. His lack of empathy makes him appear emotionless, though internally he feels a quiet satisfaction when his theories prove correct. He sees the universe itself as a massive equation, and he will stop at nothing to solve it even if it means embracing the darkest parts of existence.
Strengths
- Genius Intellect: Zorath's deep understanding of mathematics and physics gives him an unparalleled ability to manipulate the Force in ways others can't comprehend, allowing him to bend it with surgical precision.
- Resilience to Emotions: Zorath's rejection of emotional attachment makes him difficult to manipulate emotionally, and he rarely acts impulsively, always calculating the best course of action.
Weaknesses
- Overconfidence: His intellectual arrogance often blinds him to the unpredictability of life and the Force, making him vulnerable to actions outside of his calculations.
- Narrow Focus: His obsession with viewing the Force through a scientific lens prevents him from understanding or fully utilizing its spiritual and mystical aspects, limiting his growth in certain areas.
History:
Zorath Karvun was born on Yag'Dhul, the homeworld of the Givin, a species known for their mathematical brilliance. From a young age, Zorath excelled beyond his peers, fascinated by the exactness of numbers and the laws that governed the universe. His early years were spent in the study of complex astrophysics and gravitational theories, which only deepened his hunger for knowledge.
When he first discovered his connection to the Force, Zorath approached it not with awe, but with curiosity. He was accepted into a small Jedi enclave, though his obsession with finding the scientific nature of the Force quickly set him apart. His desire to reduce the Force to equations and his reluctance to embrace the spiritual aspects of it concerned his masters, who tried to temper his approach.
However, Zorath's fascination with the dark side grew when he realized its potential for unbridled power and control. The dark side, in his eyes, was merely the unstudied side of a natural force that could be understood and harnessed more fully than the Jedi would allow. Over time, his experiments grew more dangerous, and he began testing the limits of his knowledge, using his scientific understanding to experiment with dark Force techniques.
This culminated in a confrontation with his Jedi teachers when they discovered his dangerous research into forbidden areas of the Force. Unfazed, Zorath declared that the Jedi were blind to the true potential of the Force and left the Order, convinced that only through the dark side could the Force be fully understood. He traveled to many parts of the galaxy, seeking ancient Sith knowledge and developing his own mathematical theorems to explain the nature of the Force.
Years later, Zorath was subject to a Sith Master; He lost, and became an apprentice to his master at the time, Darth Invad. It was merely another prison for him no different to the Jedi, as he felt restricted in his personal research. At one point, he escaped, knowing that he wasn't strong enough to tackle him. instead, he only became more quiet and resourceful in his personal pursuits, hoping to keep his studies whilst limiting any potential exposure.
