Lore-related Question

Jack Ross

"I don't believe in good or evil."
Is it possible for a non-force sensitive to obtain force-sensitivity? What do you think the backlash of such a thing does (such as mental and physical changes)?

The only Theoretical way i know of would be Midicholorian Manipulation... past that i dont think its possible but i could be wrong. As for a backlash, while i don't recall any from the aforementioned method it would be probably a mental change in being able to sense things around you now. As for what kind of change i wuold say would be up to you.

Theoretically it is possible, through Midi-Chlorian manipulation...

... However, finding someone capable of doing this and willing to do it will be almost impossible. I don't believe there's anyone currently around that's able to do it. The only person I can even imagine being able to do it in Chaos Lore is Velok and... well... he's dead.

Sort of.

Kinda.

There are countless documentations of people not even realizing they were Force-sensitive until later in life. And, as mentioned above, minichlorians are (unfortunately) a thing. There are a lot of strange or esoteric ways to create Force-sensitivity, or awaken it in otherwise Force-blind individuals. The entire Reborn movement was all about creating artificial Force-sensitives.

One of my favorites is the Matukai. Through specialized training, a Matukai teacher is supposed to be able to "kindle the weakest spark the Force in an individual into a proud flame."

Like my fellow scholars of Star Wars Lore have said, it is quite possible... in theory. However, midi-chlorian manipulation is generally considered to be an endeavor of malevolence, having been undertaken primarily by very powerful and very capable Sith Lords such as Plagueis and Sidious with varying degrees of success.

I don't know about now, but in the canon, this sort of research is frowned upon, taboo, and even forbidden by most FU orders and by most of the 'protagonist' organizations such as the Republic (where is was illegal.) You would likely need the support and advice of some more experienced members.

You could probably get alchemized or turned into a Sithspawn, etc... Pretty sure that was a thing before and possibly during the Hyperspace War.

There are only a few things that show it happening. None of them are canon anymore, so keep that in mind. The only significant place where you see that is found in Jedi Outcast where some people have themselves infused with the Force through the use of the Valley of the Jedi. Obviously, it no longer being canon should be a huge point of emphasis.

Sarge did it because of an artifact in the Dark Harvest.

He'd been screwed up in the head ever since.

I'm not sure why this would matter. This site isn't anywhere close to "canon" and never has been.

Idk because some people, such as myself, like to try and keep oneself as much within the bounds with what is canon as possible. With the canon revamp that has lead to me being mindful of what is currently canon. Reason being. Anything could become completely opposite of canon unless it has been verified. Therefore, in an effort to stay as true to star wars as possible it is important to keep mindful of what is canon.

Just stumbled across the answer to this while researching something for a mastercraft alchemy creation. I suggest reading the article on the Scepter of Marka Ragnos, it answers this question. (The answer is yes, by the way.)
