's circadian schedule, or near complete lack thereof, had rubbed off on her as they had been spending so much time together recently (no, not like that). But then again, most everyone would likely think her sleep-deprived anyhow; precious few knew of her Darkside nature. That was exactly the point of her new amulet, to hide her true aura while projecting another altogether fake, so she wasn't dejected by the misidentification.What she was, however, was nervous; Master Orsk had given her the necklace in the first place to calm her nerves, to fit her more comfortably albeit artificially into Jedi surroundings. It was having the opposite effect though. Over just the first few hours of wearing it, the opaque white centerpiece had begun to bleed artery red. It didn't take meditation to come the conclusion of what was happening: Syreni's Darkness was already encroaching the mask. It was still holding her, her hue hadn't spread further than it had stained so far in days. Still, Damsy had since hidden the entire pendant under the collar cut of her shirt and not told a soul.
Hopefully not one would find out on their own either, especially not Dag. She had really caused him enough trouble and she had just proved herself competent enough, in control enough, to wander from the Temple alone. The last thing she wanted to slip from her was that permission; she had lost enough in that manner over her lifetime.
So she treated every solo adventure like it might be her last. This time, she found herself on a level near the underworld that she wasn't sure she had ever been on before.
