[member="Uriel"] - Unless you can link to a sub w/ dev thread or canon source that details properties, what properties it has is entirely up to the Factory staff. I advised Dario it wouldn't be useless when he asked me on Skype, but that it certainly wouldn't be lightsaber proof or blaster proof or all powerful/too tough. I'd say class 6-7 armor, with standard resistance to blasters, limited resistance to lightsabers(if any, I lean towards none without alchemist advancement of the material), and likely most vunerable to slughtrowers(as most animal/leather hide is), though exact levels of such lack sources to isolate and pinpoint.
The ONLY sub we have is this
here. Which tells us
nothing about the hide itself, just the resultant alchemical product when worked upon by two of the strongest Alchemist that Chaos has ever known. So there is no Chaos Canon/Precedence for it to help us determine such.
The problem with game tech is yes, this is a tough boss to be brought down in game. But nothing tells us what brings it down or what it resists (I don't play SWTOR, just full disclosure) in such a way as to be appreciable for Chaos Factory Submissions. The game also seems to hint the beasts power and toughness isn't reliant on it's hide strength, but on it's otherwordly strength and the nature of it's being, which likely wouldn't persist past it's death.
So, unfortunately, if Dario submits this, it is going to be treated probably like an exceptionally tough animal hide. Which is to say slightly above armorweave in protection properties. It would probably be middling protection unless alchemized, and via alchemy you could probably turn fecal matter into suitable armor if it was suitably worked upon.
If he really wants something cool, he should get a trenchcoat made out of the hide and have it alchemized, just so he can brag that is what it is. Otherwise, it's no more superior or inferior of a material than any other basic hide.
