Under the golden rays of the setting sun, Braze's curiosity had led him on a captivating adventure, exploring the forgotten nooks and crannies around the Jedi temple. He had wandered for a day or two, discovering hidden alcoves lost to the passage of time. As his excitement bubbled over, he thought of sharing this thrilling experience with his friend Aliris.

Following the familiar path to the ship Aliris had been staying on, Braze stepped aboard with ease, comfortable in the presence of his friend. He moved through the ship, searching for her, and finally found her in one of the common areas.

"Hey Aliris," he greeted with a bright smile, leaning casually against the wall. "Wanna come with me to see a cool place I found?" he asked simply, his excitement evident in his eyes. The abandoned temple he had stumbled upon had a certain allure, a sense of mystery that he wanted to explore further.

Aliris blinked slowly from where she was sitting, cuddled with the stuffed dragon, datapad in her hands, just generally lounging. It wasn't too often she was on the ship, but she'd really started to make it her own. She'd grown up without the ability to design or own anything, so.. It really showed. Anything she liked lined the walls of the room, decorated her bed. It was a terrible mix of pink and bright with the dark and mysterious.

She might not be a Sith anymore, but she did still like tomb diving.

"Hey. .. Uh, what's the place?"

As Braze stepped into the decorated room, his eyes lit up with curiosity, taking in the vibrant colors and intricate details of the surroundings. The festive atmosphere was a stark contrast to the seriousness of their training sessions, and he found himself admiring the effort put into the decorations.

"Mister Fynch Fynch said it was an old Jedi Temple," Braze shared with a sense of excitement, eager to talk about his recent discovery. His voice carried a chirpy tone, revealing his genuine enthusiasm for the mysterious place he had stumbled upon.

"I've mostly been poking around the outside of it,"
he continued, his words flowing with eagerness. "The tall grasses kind of hide a lot of the ground work outside." Braze described how the temple's exterior had been veiled by nature's growth, as if the Force itself had kept its secrets hidden from the world. His eyes sparkled with anticipation as he invited her to join him in the adventure. "I figure it might be fun if you joined me in poking about," he proposed with genuine excitement.

As he spoke, Braze's hands moved animatedly, reflecting the enthusiasm that radiated from him. He had been actively trying to clear away the overgrowth from the temple's exterior.

"It might be nice to try and reclaim it," he offered lightly, the notion of reclaiming the temple filled with a mix of nostalgia and hope. To Braze, the temple represented a glimpse into the past, a connection to the rich history of the Jedi Order.

A temple?

That needed reclaiming?

Aliris tossed down the datapad as she scrambled to her feet and rushed over to her dresser to start putting on her actual adventure gear. Which was just a belt she could hook on with the typical supplies she'd need. She was a seasoned tomb diver, or so she liked to say. Then, with a grin on her face, she rushed up to Braze and nodded quickly.

"Yeah. Yeah! Lets go poke about."

Baze was surprised to see how quickly she got 'ready'. HE nodded with a smirk and lead her outside and out to where he'd wandered off before. IT didn't take too terribly long but it certainly was a walk long enough to make the campgrounds disappear from sight. But soon enough they arrived at the megalith of stone and true enough some of the exterior had been cleared away.

Aliris stared with her eyes wide and full of life. She loved ruins, there was no denying that much. But to see it in person like this? A Jedi temple? It was always such a damn thrill for her! She practically giggled as she reached down to snatch Braze's hand and pull him along.

"Let's go! There's all kinds of stuff we can find out there, right!?"

Braze's eyes widened with a mix of excitement and trepidation as he followed Aliris towards the entrance of the ancient Jedi temple on Lolthal. The imposing megalith stood tall, its opening partially obscured by thick vines that had woven their way around it over the years.

"Well, I haven't really gone inside yet," he admitted, his voice tinged with curiosity. "But I'm certain there will be neat stuff inside." The prospect of exploring the temple's interior filled him with a sense of wonder and anticipation.

He pointed towards the grand entrance, the entranceway to the mysteries that lay within. "I think this is the entrance," he said, his voice hushed as if acknowledging the sacredness of the place. The megalith's presence felt ancient and powerful, a testament to the rich history that resided within its walls.

As they approached the entrance, Braze couldn't help but feel a twinge of nervousness. "I didn't explore inside all that much yet," he confessed, a touch of vulnerability in his voice. "I kinda get nervous being alone in places like this." His openness with Aliris showed the level of trust he placed in her, knowing that she would understand his apprehensions.

The two of them stood before the entrance, their anticipation palpable. The temple, once a place of reverence and knowledge, had fallen into disuse and disrepair, nature reclaiming it from the hands of time. It was as if the Force itself had shrouded the temple in a cloak of mystery, waiting for someone to reclaim its forgotten legacy.

"Indeed, the Jedi temple on Lolthal could use some work to reclaim it from the overgrowth of mother nature,"
Braze remarked, his eyes scanning the vines and moss that enveloped the entrance. There was a sense of potential, a feeling that with their combined efforts, they could restore the temple to its former glory.

"You really don't like being alone, huh?"

She didn't blame him, though. She didn't like to be alone either, especially now. The amount of tombs she went in by herself before she joined the Jedi was probably more than most Sith did in their lives. All to try and find pieces that were stolen or hidden away. All for artifacts. She frowned for a moment, watching the temple as they got closer.

She really wasn't okay with being alone anymore, huh.

".. We can clean it, eventually, I guess. But! For now we explore!"

"No. Not really. I kind of hate it honestly. " He offered softly. He nodded excitedly hearing her want to explore. He padded over to the entrance which was open to the temple's first level at present. " I think this is the way in. " Braze called as he padded in. There was an eerie calm that filled the air here.
As Braze stepped further into the ancient temple, a shiver of unease ran down his spine, making the hair on the back of his neck stand on end. The once magnificent architecture now lay in ruins, its grandeur faded by the passage of time. The air was heavy with a sense of mystery and untold stories, but all Braze could focus on was the lurking dread in the corners of the temple.

His excitement from the outside world had given way to an overwhelming sense of trepidation. As he ventured deeper, he noticed peculiar shapes flickering in the dim light. His heart pounded loudly in his chest, and his breath quickened with anxiety.

His eyes widened with terror as he saw movement in the shadows ahead. The shadows seemed to twist and elongate, and his mind conjured up images of the creatures that haunted his worst nightmares - spiders. Big, grotesque spiders.

A chill ran through him, and he couldn't help but take a step back, his hand instinctively reaching for the training blade at his side....

Aliris watched him for a moment longer as he turned to head in. He hated being alone. Yeah, she could feel that. Understood it better than she'd admit. But once they were in, they were in. She looked about, a faint smile on her face. She loved ruins like this. Sith or not, this was the kind of place she wanted to explore more in. Was there a Jedi type for that? It'd be cool to figure out eventually. But right now?

Fear. She picked right up on it. She glanced towards Braze for a moment. Then to the shadows around them. They didn't twist or conjure monsters for her, but his fear was very easy for her to feel.

"Braze..? What's going on?"

Braze Braze

Braze's hushed voice barely escaped his trembling lips, his fingers instinctively reaching up to press against them in a nervous gesture. "Shhhh..." he hissed, the syllable carried on a shuddering breath. His very presence seemed to shrink in the face of the encroaching darkness, his usually confident demeanor giving way to an acute sense of vulnerability.

The atmosphere around them had shifted, the once stagnant air now laden with an ominous weight. A heavy silence lingered, only to be broken by the chilling chatters and whispers that emanated from the shadows. It was as if the very walls of the temple held secrets that had been waiting to awaken, an unsettling harmony of sounds that danced just beyond the edge of perception.

As the echoes of their presence reverberated through the ancient chambers, an unspoken tension hung in the air. It was a tension that seeped into Braze's very bones, his heartbeat quickening in response to the eerie chorus that seemed to close in around them. The fear that radiated from him was palpable, a visceral response to the creeping horror that had taken hold.

And then, as if summoned by the haunting cadence of the temple's whispers, they emerged from the darkness. Giant spiders, their spindly legs moving with a disturbing grace, descended upon the scene like ominous specters. The soft scuttling of their steps echoed through the chamber, creating a disconcerting psalm that intensified the foreboding mood.

Braze's wide eyes fixed upon the approaching arachnids, his breath catching in his throat. It wasn't just fear that emanated from him now—it was abject terror. The sight of the creatures, their monstrous forms illuminated by the feeble light, struck at the core of his deepest fears. His force presence quivered, a mixture of anxiety and vulnerability that seemed to radiate outward, a beacon of trepidation in the darkness.

In that chilling moment, the ancient temple had transformed into a nightmarish tableau, a stage where fear took center stage. The stark contrast between Braze's usual brazen confidence and the terror that now gripped him painted a haunting picture against the backdrop of the temple's hidden horrors. And as the spiders closed in, the very air seemed to thicken with a sense of impending doom.

Eh?

Aliris stared in disbelief as spiders crawled out. Spiders this size weren't native to Lothal, right? How did- Where did- She raised a hand, bringing out the metallic substance she utilized as a weapon to her hand. It formed into the rough shape of a dagger as she crouched, readied herself. Only to finally realize what exactly was going on. This wasn't the first time she'd actually faced something like this.

The Force was calling on their fears. It was a trial.

"Braze! Snap out of it! It's feeding on your fear!"

Braze Braze

Braze's crippling fear of spiders was palpable, his terror radiating from him in waves that anyone nearby could feel. These spindly-legged creatures were no mere force test – they were a very real presence, a living colony that had claimed these once-hallowed halls as their refuge and home. The mere thought that they might not be real, a construct of the Force, flickered briefly in Braze's mind, offering a glimmer of hope that quickly spurred him into action, breaking through his initial freeze response.

As the first spider lunged at him, its legs skittering menacingly, Braze's training kicked in. His training saber, more like a bat with a touch of burning heat, swung in a wide arc, intercepting the spider's attack and leaving a searing mark on its leg. The weapon wasn't strong enough to slice through their tough carapaces, but it certainly packed a fiery punch that left welts in its wake. Braze pivoted on his heels, ready to face the unsettling horde that threatened him in this eerie setting.

Loud metallic thuds echoed through the passage of the abandoned temple, bouncing off its dark walls as a new presence emerged. This new presence seemed to only agitate the large arachnids, as one of them turned to face the oncoming threat in the darkness, its pedipalps and two front legs raised and poised to strike.

But just like that it was over. A large metal boot struck out, kicking the spider back, the being it belonged to then moving forward to crush the creature beneath that same boot, severing the cephalothorax from the abdomen. The spider shuttered, tapping its fangs together in a fit of anger before collapsing, dead silent.

The culprit, K1, took another step forward, into the dim light, and looked to the children.

"...Are you in need of assistance?"
