The First Legion
A dingy bar...
There was a certain musk in the air Cato could not deny; heavy and burdensome on the nose, he never seemed to be able to escape it. If it weren't the cold, or the dust, it was that itching feeling one got around the Sith that bothered him. Also driving its way of his neck, threatening to leave residue all over him. His commanders had told him it was the 'power of the Dark Side', but Cato just wished it felt cleaner to be around.
He sighed as the barman passed him another drink - the third he had drank so far as the distant HoloVision spoke of the spreading war in the Outer Rim. Dogs from the Core carving a war path through the hyperlanes, while the New Imperial Order made fools of the Sith everyone once feared - of the Empire he once served. He sighed as he took the first sip, noting the nutty flavor of the beer, likely made in a local brewery; but he swear he could still taste that darkness in even the beer here. Korriban wasn't his planet, but it would have to serve for the coming months.
Pushing the beer away, he glanced to the bar.
It was full of people of all colors and creeds, builders imported to help rebuild after the chaos of multiple invasions - Sith Acolytes not powerful enough to drink with the rich and famous, and soldiers like him lining the corners. This was likely the most business this bar had seen in a few months, knowing all too well that this planet was rarely welcoming to visitors, and had a Sith or Goverment blast it into next year whenever they could. At least, for the moment, those in the bar could take a break.
Cato could find some peace before his next assignment, no doubt ending the life of some poor scrub looking to make a name for themselves by killing the Dark Council on unofficial kaggaths or wars. Bring in those who break the Emperor's Peace, or otherwise seek to upend the growing rule of their newly formed nation. Wasn't the first time insurgents tried such, but he didn't like the writing on the wall regardless.
So for now, he just drank. Not that it did much, but it would have to do.
