- Extreme defenses.
- Anti-missile equipment onboard.
- High ION/EMP resistance.
- Self-sustaining internal structure.
- Highly manuverable.
- Manda Battlenet: Onboard analytical and predictive capabilities.
- 'Sarutaya' Engine SLAM: "Negating the need for a separate repulsor engine while integrating a scramjet booster and a SLAM system as well as stealth features, the engine is incredibly versatile. Small craft it is mounted on need not install secondary repulsor systems, and the scramjet booster and SLAM give them the ability for sudden bursts of speed in atmosphere or in space."
- Minor fabrication capabilities through small Molecular Furnace and Nanoforge.
- Lower on-board armament to allocate for other systems.
- High energy output makes vessel easier to detect with sensors.
- Only capable of producing small goods.
The Lotus Expeditionary Information Frigate, or L.E.I.F for short, is an experimental exploration vessel made to travel beyond the extra-galactic boundary for extended periods of time while maintaining a small population of organic beings. They are robust, with extreme defenses and astounding maneuverability for the size of the vessel, used to navigate the most hostile reaches of space. The L.E.I.F has majorly down scaled variations of equipment found on the B.L.I.S.S. installations, designed to be a companion to the supermassive space stations. When not being used to probe the void beyond the galaxy the L.E.I.F serve as long-term trade vessels, traveling between these stations to ferry goods that circulate their respective Bazaars. These vessels have allocated large cargo space for such journeys, as well as extreme hangar space to facilitate the movement of cargo and defense from raiders.
The L.E.I.F supports a small population of roughly 300 who maintain the vessel, living aboard their vessel for long periods of time. This small population is maintained through resources from greenhouses and respective fabricators. A small section of the vessel is set aside for recreational purposes, consisting of three indoor pools, two primary bars, a theatre, and a small market for trade goods. Some spaces have a limited capacity and require reservation in advance.
The design of the vessel is derivative of the Corellian Rescue Frigate.
