Hey everyone,
After watching constantly harrowing news headlines and reading reports that take over social media and papers, I am reminded how dark and dangerous our world is at present.
Regardless of all the light shining through, there seems to be growing darkness that blinds us more and dominates our daily life.
The on-going Isreal/Gaza conflict; the terrorist attack bringing down a passenger plane and the recent disappearance of one similar and other such sad and upsetting news dominates what we wake up to and, without wanting this post to come across as moralistic as I wouldn't want to alienate ANY person on here regardless of their race, religion, culture etc, I hope our fellow Role-Players, nay, our FRIENDS, are safe and well.
I know some people here who are living dangerously close to these areas of conflict, of war and uncertainty and I for one would like to simply wish them all my heartfelt love and support in lasting out this dark time.
Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, or Australia. It doesn't matter.
Regardless of country and any incidents that are occurring near you, be it global news or simply a difficult/stressful time in your own life for reasons out of your control, we are a community here and a family and thinking about everyone I know here and those I don't, you all play a crucial part on this site and in our individual lives to those you are friends with.
I hope you all stay safe and, if you sadly have been affected by these tragedies and incidents, that you find the strength to continue forward as strongly as you can and know we are all here to support each other and be one, united family in a world tinged with hard times and darkness.
This isn't a post to debate, argue or say what is right and wrong. I don't mean for that to come across or happen, so please let's keep this little corner to what I wanted to for, which is to just extend our love to our fellow writers and friends on this wonderful place that helps us escape from the horrors out there.
I am not after attention doing this, but you know that, but anything you want to add at all - please do. That's what we are here for.
Be careful out there, never give up your self-confidence and belief in what you are doing and never feel you are alone because you're not.
Thanks guys.
