- Professionals Have Standards - The LS-1 is a simply crafted and handled firearm, easily modular while also being low-maintenance. Its simple construction also allows for easy repairs, allowing for a single LS-1 to survive countless battlefields for numerous decades in the hands of skilled snipers.
- Be Polite - Being a sniper rifle, the range of LS-1 far exceeds that of most other types of handheld firearm. With an effective range of roughly 1.5 kilometers, it is an exceptional weapon for eliminating lightly armored enemy officers behind the frontlines. Additionally, due to the physical nature of conventional bullets, a veteran sniper can extend the LS-1's range even further by using environmental and weather conditions to boost the velocity of an individual bullet.
- Be Efficient - One of the most notable features of the LS-1 is its unusually high rate of fire for a sniper rifle. This allows for the LS-1 to be used as a long-range battle rifle when engaging small groups of foes, allowing for a quick succession of easy kills without being in danger of being in range of the enemy. Furthermore, the LS-1's high fire rate makes it effective to fire off at close range in an emergency to draw away an opportunistic foe.
- Have A Plan To Kill Everyone You Meet - Being a sniper rifle, the LS-1 launches its larger-than-average bullets forwards at a rapid pace, making it a suitable long-range anti-personnel weapon. When fired at a humanoid's head area, near-instant death is very likely.
- Hitman's Heatmaker - In comparison to other sniper rifles, the stopping power of the LS-1 is underwhelming. Though its bullets are slightly more potent than those of a typical battle rifle, most humanoids can survive a bullet from the LS-1 if it strikes below their head (albeit with serious injury). Larger beings such as Wookies or individuals with heavy body armor will often take multiple shots to eliminate.
- The Dislocator - The light weight of the LS-1 combined with its high rate of fire and large bullets gives it a strong recoil, making shoulder pads a highly recommended tool to use to maximize accuracy and stay healthy in battle.
- Rifle Woes - Despite its relatively high rate of fire, the LS-1 is still a sniper rifle. While the IL-25X already existed as an example of a sniper rifle used by the New Imperial Order, it was too expensive to be mass-produced and seen as insufficiently versatile for the many battlefronts the Imperial Army had begun to enter. Consequently, a more affordable yet effective weapon was designed. To reduce ammunition costs, the LS-1 would utilize bullets instead of plasma or tibanna based products. It was made to have highly interchangeable and modular parts, so individuals could customize their weapon to fit their personal tastes.
Overall, the Angry Owl was created to be a simple yet accessible sniper rifle to be used by the Imperial rank and file.
