- Advanced Tactical Programming - Compared to the LT-series Tactical Droid, the LST-series Super Tactical Droid is extremely advanced and intelligent. While the LT is suited to commanding operations on a single battlefield, the LST can manage entire planetary campaigns and large scale naval engagements with great ease. It's built in databanks possess vast amounts of tactical and strategic knowledge from the finest commanders in the galaxy, with which to draw upon to formulate and adapt it's strategies to changing circumstances.
- Self Defense Capability - Due to the high importance of these units, they also possess advanced combat programming comparable to a SB-X Droid Commando with which to defend themselves in an emergency. Highly accurate with a blaster, they can also lay down a thorough beating in hand to hand combat with their mechanical fists.
- Weakness to Ion Weaponry - Like most droids, LST-series Tactical Droids are vulnerable to ion weaponry, as most mechanical beings are.
With the successes of the LT-series Tactical Droid, it was decided a more advanced model would be built to serve an even more important role amongst the high command structure of Darth Xyrah's droid army. Modelled after the Super Tactical Droids used by the original CIS, these units are extremely intelligent leaders, capable of commanding vast armies and naval fleets using the finest strategies and tactics ever devised thanks to their thorough databanks. As such, they are incredibly capable at their duties, and can rapidly out maneuver enemy generals with their superior intellect and tactics.
