STRENGTHS:
Second Sight: A constant vision and whisper he is barely able to control, Luca sees two worlds at once whenever waking, and when dreaming the second world takes over in a sort of lucid dreaming. Like most seers, and especially novice ones, his foretellings are often vague and hard even for him to understand except for the strongest of them.
Quick on the Feet: Rather than an actual reflex, Luca is quick thinking and a problem solver, with a hunger for figuring out how things work and why, probably why he seems able to solve most any problem while still on the go.
WEAKNESSES:
Insomnia: Doesn’t sound like much, but you try and pilot a starship or fire a blaster on three hours sleep. Go ahead and try it, and tell him how well that works out for you. Vivid nightmare visions don’t help matters.
Deaf: Though able to read lips exceedingly well, and fluent in many forms of sign, communication can still be a struggle, and due to the oddly toned inflections of his voice from his condition, Luca avoids talking and remains silent quite often.
Neither tall nor short, almost everything about Luca’s build is average. His most remarkable features are a pair of soulful and dark [SIZE=9pt]eyes,[/SIZE] and a beautifully smooth olive complexion. He dresses much like a vagabond, in layers of various worn clothing, boots often un-tied with the laces tucked in. Always, he smells roughly of honey and lemons.
Some kids often joke of running away to the circus. Or parents threaten to sell their kids to the gypsies. Luca was born to a family of [SIZE=8.5pt]gypsy like[/SIZE] nomads, both parents players in a traveling side show. Growing up, he was exposed to all manner of creature and culture, and learned to be quite a knowledgeable and diverse lad.
From a young age, he was plagued with constant nightmares and terrors, and it was discovered roughly around a year old that he had gone deaf, the cause unknown whether congenital or traumatic. This posed problems, but the family that was his other traveling performers supported his parents and came together as a village to help raise the child.
Until the nightmares became solid visions as a teenager. Until the second sight started coming more than just with headaches. Until he started telling others what he saw both waking and dreaming. Quickly, he was exiled, and learned to be quiet about what he saw, and quiet in general.
Work was found with another caravan, and so life has persisted up until now.
