PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Lightsaber-Resistant
  • Blaster-Resistant
  • Force-Imbued
  • Solari-Crystal lattice
  • Strong Light-side Aura.
STRENGTHS
  • Revealing Fire of Ashla: The Sobriquet that one of the Blade's smiths gave her sword, paraphrased from an ancient Jedi code, fits almost perfectly with the longsword. Glowing with a deep, powerful light-sided aura, appearing as the golden fire of a blazing sun, the blade itself has the essence of the light side woven into it, and is latticed with a Solari Crystal, empowering any lightsider who wields it while weakening those darksiders unlucky enough to find their blades locked with it.
  • Force-Imbuement: The sword being infused with the force makes it easier for Sala or someone similarly powerful in Ashla to channel force abilities through the blade.
  • Lightsaber-resistant: The construction of the sword alone, being formed from Songsteel and Cortosis, would make it extremely resistant to lightsabers, almost lightsaber proof. The force-imbuement of the blade and the crystal lattice makes it even moreso, and increases its durability against other energy weapons as well, such as blasters (though it would take an elite level of skill to pull off such a feat).
  • Echani Weaving: Echani weaponsmiths forgotten and rediscovered more about forging weapons than most races have discovered in the first place. While many cortosis weaves become blunt during sparring and light combat, Sala has learned from her fellow Echani to smith a blade that is insulated from such damage
WEAKNESSES
  • Skill Required: Whereas a lightsaber is nigh weightless and can cut through almost anything in almost any blade orientation, this blade holds the weight of a large metal blade, and requires the control and skill to hit something at the right angle and with the right force to cut through.
  • Total Eclipse: Because of being infused by the light side, this sword is susceptible, if not being wielded by a light-sider, to being destroyed through the efforts of a skilled or powerful dark-sider or prolonged exposure to corruptive energies.
  • Force-Dampening: In the presence of a Void-stone or Yslamiri, the sword becomes just an extremely durable sword, losing its force-related properties and the advantages that they provide
  • You are Not Worthy: The sword and crystal's presence in the light side being so powerful, the Aura of the Crystal and Blade require the wielder to be attune to the light side of the force to benefit from its power, and requires they be pure of heart and soul to fully gain its advantages on the battlefield. What's more, the powerful light sided aura from which it derives its name can be uncomfortable and even painful to those on the dark-side that would try to wield it.
DESCRIPTION

After the sword she had used since her youth was broken on the dark jungle world of Arorua, Sala was forced to reforge it, her beliefs and the culture she enkindled in her order disallowing the simple discarding and replacement of the blade. However, with her skill both in combat but especially in the force being improved and evolved, she decided that rather than merely repair her blade, she would reforge it into a blade that would perfectly serve the unique styles of combat and mastery that she had adopted.

Having found a Solari crystal amongst the darkest corners of the galaxy during her travels, Sala was inspired to create a truly unique sword awash in the light side, and made way for Blade's Rest. melting the shattered fragments down and making a new batch of the alloy to help replace any fragments which were no longer available. This time, she took a couple of extra steps, focusing all of the presence of Ashla that she could muster as she "wove" the crystal lattice of the Solari into the blade, creating a powerful aura surrounding the blade, appearing as a bright, golden fire. Created in the form of a traditional longsword, this beautiful, sacred blade was named Lucignis by Sala, and to it one of the smiths of the order applied the sobriquet "The Revealing Fire of Ashla."

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Each flute is imbued with the light side of the force in such a way that the music produced creates a calming aura in the musician, strengthening meditation and allowing for a deeper communion with Ashla
STRENGTHS
  • Ashla's Peace: Each flute is imbued with the light side specifically to help the Jedi playing it center themselves in the depths of meditation.
  • Sturdy: The Hylaian Marsh Bamboo used in the construction of the flutes is sturdy enough that they can be carried around for everyday use by Blades, and they are unlikely to be damaged by merely being jostled around or falling from a Blade's belt
WEAKNESSES
  • Not a Weapon: Despite their sturdy construction, these flutes are not weapons. Their light weight and flexible material make them useless as a club and nearly any weapon brought to contact with them would easily shatter them apart
  • Bogan's Hatred: Dark Side abilities and especially the concentrated use of the dark side are able to affect these flutes, even destroying them or nullifying their imbuements.
DESCRIPTION

While studying in the libraries of the Sacred Blades, Shani and one of her fellow Postulants had found the works of an ancient Jedi Artisan, who had, rather than focusing on the creation of lightsabers and weapons as most in his order were wont to do, focused his efforts and creativity into the creation of various meditation aids, ranging from jewelry to small sculptures to talismans. Certainly, these were interesting, but what was most interesting to the postulants, who were all soon to pass to squirehood and so take up the itinerant ways of the Blades, were those that could be easily carried and used.

Shani especially found interesting a form of meditation flutes, carved from the bamboo that, at the time, was used in the Jedi Temple's Room of a Thousand Fountains. These flutes were small, and could easily be tied to one's belt or sash, or stowed away in one's clothing. Perhaps most interesting was that they were imbued with the force to provide a calming influence on the Jedi playing them, being part of some sort of meditation ritual. Shani immediately got to work learning to create one of these flutes for herself.

After several rounds of trial and error and an a lot of assistance from the Blades' artisans, Shani managed to create one of these flutes, and began to use it during her solitary times of meditation. Several other postulants and squires were intrigued and sought the artisans' help in making their own, and before long it had become a staple among the more spiritually inclined of the Sacred Blades, and a rare gift for close allies of Blades.
