- It is very amenable to force imbuement because of the nature of how the creature that produces this silk was created. As such it can be manipulated with the force with ease and shaped as well. The metal particulates also allow it to be used as a conductor, as long as mixed with something else because it is very very easy to burn. It is also nearly invisible and light as air, the more that is woven together, the heavier it gets, but its heaviest is still a fraction of the weight if someone was garbed in downy feathers. Dying this thread is also done with ease, but unless one adds layers of this weave on top, it doesn't lose its transparent nature.
- Stabbing, tearing, puncturing, pulling, ripping and all kinds of like things barely make this thread yawn.
- Almost totally see through, save for a 'heat shimmer' like effect as the silk catches the light, though no heat is involved.
- So light and effervescent that you think you are wearing nothing at all.
- Takes to dyes effortlessly, only a very subtle haze can be seen in just one layer of this weaved together.
- Force imbuement and manipulation is effortless.
- Breathable and airy.
- Can be a conductible material, but vanishes with heat.
- Fire, heat, energy, all these things make this substance burn faster than even hair, when burnt not even ash remains.
- Can stop a bullet for instance, won't stop it from hurting like hell.
Vanir out of habit tends to venture places that can be quite dangerous. As a result he often takes his spiders with him, one day the Matriarch made a net under a place he was climbing and when he fell, the webbing caught him because of the way it was layered. From there he had an idea to use it as a rope, but then he found that it was also worthy of textiles. Seeing the properties, but not really geared towards say, armor and clothing, he instead decided to stockpile the thread and find someone who could use this new material. And as the most prominent business within the CIS, Loke and Key Mechanics was first on his mind. So from there he did a range of tests to find out what could and could not be done, with what he was able to do in his own lab befor making the contract.
