Appearance: A small, quadrupedal creature native to an unknown planet. Its distinctive ears are split three ways, and it has large expressive eyes, giving it a wide field of vision and a curious, almost inquisitive look. Its fur-covered body blends light brown on the underside and a darker, scaly pattern on its back, providing camouflage in its natural habitat. A long, thin tail aids in balance and agility as it navigates its environment.
Merqaals are known for their playful and intelligent nature. They are quick learners and can form strong bonds with other creatures, making them loyal companions. While incapable of speech, they communicate through chirps, clicks, growls, and body language. They are also surprisingly strong for their size and can easily climb and navigate rugged terrain.

Combat Function:
Luna is a small creature, a Merqaal better suited to playing and being affectionate. However, her size and soft feet make her perfect for sneaking about undetected, fetching things, and otherwise avoiding head-on confrontations. She distrusts others unless Balun shows her that they are safe to associate with and, therefore, will be less inclined to seek out a fight. Should she be caught in a dangerous predicament, Luna would sooner hide than try to help Balun fend off their attackers.
Force Abilities (Force User Companions Only):
Luna cannot use the Force as Balun or other Force Users can; she has no notable powers that can be used on others. Her Force Sensitivity is minor, and this mostly benefits her by heightening her senses and the Force Bond that she has developed with Balun. She can comprehend his speech and emotions through their shared connection and sense other life forms nearby, yet this is the extent of her connection to the ethereal platform.

- Furtive: Luna embodies furtiveness, capable of moving with stealth and secrecy to remain unseen and unheard. She is agile and has cat-like reflexes, can move without making a sound and can scale most environments gracefully.
- Non-Combative: Luna isn't a threat to humanoid-sized foes. She is small and fearful of most other people due to her wild nature, more likely to hide during times of danger than she is to try and stand her ground against larger prey.
