Strengths
The Great Manipulator:One of his most defining traits is his deeply manipulative nature, seducing many with promises of power, prize, even salvation to further his agenda. "Tell me what you regard as your greatest strength, so I will know how best to undermine you"
The Negotiator: One of the benefits of growing up in a political family is picking a few skills one of which is dealing with people and being able to settle disputes and serve a mediator between two or more parties that disagree. If you need people to agree Lux is your best chance.
Money: As a member of the Berooken family has a great deal of wealth.
Pragmatist: While others may lead by moral values Lux doesn't have that problem ethics are of no concern to him, he looks at each situation through the lens of what is best for him and his interest as far as he's concerned good and evil are a point of view.

Arrogance: Born to wealth and privilege along with his high intellect often leads his judgment to be clouded and for him to overestimate himself and underestimate others.
The Finer Things In Life: Recognized as the one who instituted the fashion among the Sarapin elite. He has a taste for exotic and expensive things, and his home is furnished with many antique and rare items.
I'm not a fighter: Lux has very limited blaster training but more importantly he has no interest in fighting his own battles he prefers to use pawns to fight for him.
Bio: Born into a renowned political dynasty. Lux spent most of his childhood being educated in the finest institutions that Sarapin had to offer and making friends. The son of William Berooken and an eccentric and often foul-tempered man, who was a talented watercolourist and collector of art. Lux's mother, Sybil was a member of extremely wealthy family that had immigrated from Coruscant. Sybil had wanted to marry another man but was forced by her father to marry William, as a result the family life was poor the married couple acted as strangers rarely showing any emotion to each other or young Lux.
In his teens Lux became much grander, his outfits became more elegant and he began hosting parties at his families vacation home. He began spending more and more money on art, speeders, and wine, this behavior led to his father to try to cut him off from the family funds but before he could Lux exposed that his father wasn't paying taxes on several properties that he owned around the planet leading to his arrest and imprisonment.
Lux graduated from university with a degree in Political Science and immediately set off to start his career in public service like so many in his family. Using his connections he landed himself a job at the foreign ministry and quickly made a name for himself as a component bureaucrat that could manipulate the machinery of government to his will. Rising in the ranks quickly, his talent was acknowledged by everyone in contact with.
When the opportunity presented itself to run for the New Republic Senate Lux and he took it winning the election in a landslide. He started his tenure in the Senate as a relatively unknown commodity that his new colleagues didn't know to interact with. Rather than trying to build up relations with the other senators he decided prove himself by putting his skills to use in diplomacy. Lux was the one that negotiated the peaceful departure of Corellia from the New Republic while also maintaining good relations with the new government of the planet.
When the New Republic fell he decided to stick around with the exiles and see if anything could be rebuilt of the government, but it soon became clear to him that the answer to that question was no. So he left searched for a new organization to join.
