Description:

This specialized contingent of the Mandalorian warriors had started off as a select group following Azrael during his campaigns and wars fought in. Rising through the ranks of the Mandalorian elite, the half-blood salvager continued to pull vode that were both capable to teach, and eager to learn the arts of aerial combat. Having been educated in flight by both [member="Ordo"], [member="Gilamar Skirata"], and Isley Verd Azrael had honed his abilities to transform himself into a formidable opponent in the skies. While he is a capable pilot, Azrael's more potent ability comes in the form of atmospheric combat, of which he's taught to various Mandalorians. This squad has grown over the years of his tenure with the Mandalorians, and eventually became a relied to asset of elite fighters piloting in various modes.

There were only a handful in the beginning, but now they number in nearly three score ranging from various clans. Each has been trained in both practical war experience, and continued training. Once Azrael became Mand'alor, and the assets of MandalMotors were gifted to him via Gilamar, he used the focus of the war droids to recruit new members into this and form a specialized strike team. Most of the volunteers started from clan Skirata, hailing from a legacy that dated back to Gilamar's reign of Mandalore. The squad is adept at utilizing various means of flight during confrontation and conflict.

Each member of M.A.S.S. is proficient in piloting for maximum tactical advantage, and is trained in maneuverability, advanced engaging and evasion principles, and boasts a knowledge and experience of the weapons not only on their preferred 'mount' but on their person as well. M.A.S.S. however differs from the Bes'uliik Traat'aliite in that they do not engage in starship fighters, but rather ride more open mounts, and are (for the most) based entirely on atmospheric combat. Primarily they ride with Azrael and work in teamed pattern maneuvers. They however are also very capable in other formations in smaller numbers to insert themselves into situations where they can deal damage, defend the Mando'ade, and take out key targets. These forces are equipped with the Allit'gam clan skin armor reserved for NPC forces of the Mandalorians.

Vehicles:
  • Jetpacks - Short range and close combat. the iconic symbol of the Mandalorians allows them to race across the sky decimating small forces with hand held weapons. These are the most maneuverable and able to transition from ground to sky near instantly. They have limited range - due to a limited supply of fuel.
  • Snake-eyes Tumbler - Medium range agility and speed. The M.A.S.S. use the aerial rendition of this armored vehicle to carve through the skies, letting loose laser cannon fire as well as their own personal hand-held weapons. These are an all-around mounts designed to split up targets; divide and conquer - but lack the heavy artillery in favor of movement.
  • War Droids - Medium to close range heavy artillery. These war machines are a staple of Mandalorian culture and have been used for centuries. M.A.S.S members using these do so in heavy combat, as both the defense and artillery is substantial but maneuverability is limited and requires advanced training to pilot effectively.

Strengths and Weaknesses:
  • + Jetpacks provide excellent maneuverability and a small profile to hit.
  • + Tumblers provide adequate armor against most blaster types, and substantial speed and agility.
  • + War Droids are tanks, with a litany of weapons both on board and storage for other weapons available.
  • - Jetpacks have a limited fuel and short range
  • - Tumblers have only laser cannons, and must fire from the front. They are also vulnerable against heavy ballistic attacks.
  • - War Droids have much less maneuverability, and requires advanced training to pilot effectively.

Alright with those, and with the thread you've used them in, I see no problem sending this to pending approval with the cavaet that additional equipment changes will require a sub modification
