- Features a “jump” mode and a “flight” mode.
- 12 ”Whistling birds” in each sole
- Compact: The jump boots are very small, light, and their sleek design keeps them out of the way.
- Versatile: They can be used to fly around, boost a person in a jump, or utilized underwater.
- Stealthy: The jump boots utilize a quiet repulsorlift system to operate, and have specialized propellers for stealthy underwater usage. Overall, the jump boots don’t give off any easy trace or sound to notify people or sensors of the user’s presence.
- Surprise foot attack: In each sole of the boots are 12 tiny guided armour piercing missiles similar to what Mandalorians use for emergency offensive capabilities. Typically they are made of Durasteel or Duranium.
- Clapped: The missiles are capable of piercing heavy armour and the explosive yield inside of the warhead is more than enough to annihilate a normal person's innards.
- Two-step: While the jump function can be used plenty of times, even in short bursts, the flying or hovering feature eats battery life and dramatically shortens operation time.
- Grounded: The repulsorlifts don’t work outside of the atmosphere, so the boots don’t operate at all in space.
- No backup: The boots have a learning curve to use properly, and the user can easily be knocked off balance in some situations.
- Noticing you noticing me: The low profile of the boots might be able to fool most, but powerful sensors, alarm systems and people with sharper instincts will be able to hear the faint hiss of the boots or pick up on the heat signature the projectors give off. Underwater, the propellers can still be registered by powerful scanners, especially at close range.
- Gimme a minute: After the missiles are fired, the boots need to be opened up and each new warhead needs to be individually slotted into their tiny tubes. Getting a second volley in any high stress situation will require a lot of time and patience that can likely not be afforded.
Small and agile, the ‘Halo’ jump boots are designed to be a stealthy and quiet alternative to loud and bulky jetpacks. While they lack the versatility of a typical jetpack, they make up for it in response time and compactibility. The boots are also designed for stealth operations and don’t give off much noise or sensor profile unless someone was right by it while operating.
The boots also have some emergency combat capability in the form of small armour piercing missiles, practically identical in design, operation and usage to “whistling birds” used by Mandalorians, though the missiles are usually made from Duranium to save on costs. Though they are still highly capable of piercing typical armour and giving the receiving party an explosive surprise.
