- Personal Defense Weapon: The M1 Aegis Side-Arm has been made with short range encounters in mind, and therefore doesn't carry the same stopping power nor the effective range of other weapons like a regular Blaster Rifle would have.
- Semi-Automatic: The M1 is a semi-automatic blaster, and even with burst-fire active, cannot match the fire-rate of a fully automatic firearm. While the three-round burst fire does offer some suppression, one will still have to choose their shots carefully while under fire from hostiles.
- Small Arms Use: This is a firearm suited to personal use or for assignments that require finesse and tact, this is not built for the battlefield or for any wartime setting, which would otherwise see this pistol heavily under-powered compared to high grade military firearms.
The M1 Aegis Side-Arm or Blaster Pistol is the first of Machine Jack Mechanix's fire-arm production line, and has been designed to target those outside of a military background or profession, built perfect for your average smuggler or rogue type. This is a pistol for your gun-loving enthusiast, not for a soldier going into war and it should be noted that both range and firepower are representative of this, compared to high grade military technology.
The M1's sleek design is accompanied by it's extremely light weight and makes for a very quick draw from the hip or holster. The aesthetics of the Blaster fashion a modern poly-alloy outer casing, while the fire-arm also encompasses a custom fitted grip for comfort in hand.
At the barrel end of the Pistol is an inbuilt compression compensator (Muzzle Brake), designed to expel the force and vented air of every shot, to redirect propellant gases to counter recoil and unwanted muzzle rise.
For enhanced precision, the Blaster Pistol comes with a Red Dot attachment, a simple optics enhancement that attaches to the top of the pistol for line of sight, as well as an additional attachment that connects beneath the barrel producing a green laser pinpointing wherever the blaster is being faced.
Additionally, the M1 comes with the standard Stun Mode that encompasses the use of ION technology in order to bring down an opponent safely immobilizing them (Great for your average bounty!).
